A good night's sleep is one of the best ways to help your child feel happy, confident, and ready for the school day ahead.
As September approaches, now is a great time to start establishing a consistent bedtime routine. Simple steps such as having a regular bedtime, limiting screen time before bed, reading a story together, and preparing for the next day can help children settle more easily and get the rest they need.
If you're looking for advice on how to establish a bedtime routine, the quick video below is a great place to start.

Separating from each other
Starting school is an exciting milestone, but it can also bring mixed emotions for both children and parents. Saying goodbye at the school gate isn't always easy and that's completely normal.
One way to help your child feel secure is to let them know exactly when you will be back and reassure them about what their day will look like. A confident, positive goodbye helps children understand that school is a safe and happy place to be.
By supporting your child through these moments, you are helping them develop resilience, independence and confidence. Important skills that will help them throughout their school journey.
Remember, it's okay if it takes a little time. Every child is different, and small steps make a big difference. ๐
