Following on from the wet start to the day, the weather stayed dry this afternoon, allowing us to enjoy a full afternoon of activities for our Sports Day. The children took part in a range of events, including throwing, jumping, balancing, aiming, dribbling and racing challenges. Thank you to all the families who were able to attend and support the event. We had a wonderful afternoon together.

I have tried to remove as many children as possible from the photographs where we do not have photo consent. Please let me know as soon as possible if I have missed anyone.

What a ROAR-some week preschool have had learning all about dinosaurs! 🦖🦕🌋🦴
We’ve discovered fossils, explored our dinosaur cave and used hammers to rescue baby dinosaurs from frozen eggs.🥚🦖 ❄️
We also used our maths skills to count out ingredients for a bubbling dinosaur stew.🥣🌿
The children have enjoyed a week full of exploring, investigating and making exciting discoveries as they learned all about these amazing prehistoric creatures! 🌋🦕🦴✨

Our preschool children have been cooling off in our beautiful woodland today 🌿☀️

With the weather so hot, we’ve been enjoying the shade, exploring nature, and making the most of our very own woodland area 🌳🍃

We’re so lucky to have such a special outdoor space for our children to learn and explore every day 🪵💚

We are incredibly proud of our football teams who represented the school in the Marconi Cup. The B team gave it their all, despite many of the team having never played in a football match before.
The A team did not concede a single goal and made it through to the final, but sadly lost out on penalties.
Well done to all the children involved for their teamwork, determination and fantastic sportsmanship!

We had a wonderful day working with a local author Troy Jenkinson. He read some of his stories to the whole school and then ran interactive workshops where children wrote their own stories. We had a great day and the children were all really inspired.

Year 1 have been learning to measure in Maths!⭐️😄
We measured our height and ordered ourselves from shortest to tallest, and explored volume by measuring liquids in containers!

EYFS have been learning about space. We read the story ‘Whatever Next’. We wrote some space words and sentences to describe the pictures. We then went on a space mission to the woods to find the missing items Baby Bear needed for his adventure.
