With hound exercise around the corner here is some helpful information please read....

Hound exercise is a practice where hounds are taken out following a planned route to improve their fitness. It can also be a good way to introduce horses to hounds and to the "hunting field" environment. Hound exercise is generally shorter than a 'hunt'.
Hounds, like any other animal, need regular exercise to stay healthy.
It allows horses to get used to the presence of hounds and the sights and sounds of the hunting field.
It prepares horses & hounds for the hunting season, ensuring they are fit and ready to go!

Dress code for hound exercise -
Riders should always wear hat and black / brown gloves
Ratcatcher (tweed jackets) breeches, cream / beige. Shirt and tie or coloured stock.
Ladies hair nets are a must!

Horse tack and saddle pads black / brown no bright coloured items!

Horses to be clean and unplaited. Horse behaviour, if your horse is known to kick please display a red ribbon in the horses tail to make others aware a horse new to hunting display a green ribbon in the tail. Keep a safe horse distance apart from others to avoid kicks and accidents where possible. When approaching a jump allow a sensible distance to let the horse in front jump, land and ride away from the fence safely before you jump. If your horse is misbehaving or out of control for your own and others safely you will likely be asked to take the horse back, or to the rear of the field.

Please show respect to all other followers both mounted and foot following especially any road / public crossings that may occur thank all public and show respect keep the Readyfields reputation an outstanding one.

No hounds will be attending this will be a steady socialble walk trot and canter amble.
