Year 5 and 6 have continued to develop their understanding of materials in science by investigating different filters that can be used to separate a mixture.

Year 3 and 4 have been showing some amazing descriptive writing skills this week. 📝 We have been finishing our descriptions of a spooky attic and all children were able to spend some 1:1 time with an adult to help complete and improve these. We all used expanded noun phrases, conjunctions to add more detail, first person correctly and used a variety of adverbs to start our sentences! 🎉 Well done!

Year 5 and 6 have had fun exploring mixtures and solutions. We also thought about the difference between physical change (temporary) and chemical changes (permanent).

KS2 have been working hard to explore the work of Friedrich Hundertwasser. We have created our own paintings inspired by Ernest Shackleton and his ship, The Endurance, using the style of Hundertwasser.

Today in PE, Sycamore and Elder class have been continuing their 'Exercise For Fitness' topic. We have been trying new exercises and answering questions about which muscles we are using. After some super work, we finished our PE afternoon with a gripping game of bench ball!
