The Little Cooks Club

During discussions with many of you over the last few months, I’ve had loads of requests for a Friday class. Since Covid, I’ve always held Fridays as my admin day (work, volunteering and life) but I’m not sure I can ignore your requests for much longer. Please can you drop me a 👍🏻 if you’d be interested in a Friday morning class? If I get to a certain number, I’ll start it. Please spread the word amongst parent and grandparent friends too! Xx

My girls and I have had a lovely few hours at Blaby Antiques Centre this afternoon. There were some absolute gems, this book was just one of many! Loads of vintage toys, books, homewares, furniture and jewellery. We had such an unexpectedly super time and they are already planning when to go back. There’s also a cafe folks ;)

I started at a brand new school today 🙌 I’m running two classes for their preschoolers and then an after school club for the primary school pupils.

I’m always so nervous ahead of the first class in a new place - will I get there in time, will I park ok, will the ovens work, will the recipe be welcomed by the children, will they get properly stuck in, will I remember to tell them what my name is?!

Luckily, I needn’t have worried because the school was incredibly welcoming and the children were all AMAZING 🤩

For some, it was their first time ever cracking an egg… we may have got shell in the mixture but my gosh, they did such a great job of following my instructions and they went home happy, clutching their banana muffins 🍌 I can’t wait to see them next week!

🍓👩‍🍳 We are excited to share that cooking sessions with The Little Cooks Club take place during our pre-school session every Tuesday!

These fun and engaging sessions give children the opportunity to explore new foods, develop independence, build confidence and learn important skills through hands-on cooking activities.

If you are interested in your child taking part, please email The Little Cooks Club directly or speak to a member of the pre-school team who will be happy to point you in the right direction. 💛

I’ll be running two sessions on the first Saturday of half term (May 23) at my lovely Kirby Muxloe venue. It’s going to be a gorgeous recipe and is a super duper way to enjoy some quality time together. Please read below and get in touch if you’d like to join in the fun:

🏠 St Bartholomew’s church hall, Kirby Muxloe
🕰️ Choice of two sessions - 930-1030 & 11-12
🌱 Recipe will be vegetarian and nut free
🥣 All ingredients and equipment provided
🎨 Craft activity provided for while the food cooks
👛 £10 per child, payable upon booking
