Developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination doesn’t just happen during planned activities and play.

Everyday routines such as snack time provide wonderful opportunities for learning too.

Encouraging the children to help cut up fruit over at our Millman Street Nursery in London gives the children the chance to practice cutting, scooping, transferring and serving.

Whilst also building coordination, independence and confidence along the way 🥭🍏

A huge well done to Vicky and the team at our Melton Road Nursery! We’re delighted to share that they received a 5* Food Hygiene Rating from Environmental Health! 👏

At Kiddycare, keeping our children happy, healthy and well-nourished is incredibly important to us.

Our chef prepares delicious, freshly cooked meals for the children to enjoy, with care and attention going into every single meal 🥕🍎🥦

We recently held the ‘Stop the Bottle’ event at our Parkview Nursery.

Meena Player and Clare Foxon from Leicester City Council Oral Health team joined us for this occasion.

Stop the bottle use from a young age is important, as prolonged use can lead to tooth decay. NHS England advises introducing a cup from 6 months and stopping the bottle use by the age of 1. We had another great success, with a few of our children deciding to swap their bottles for sippy cups 🙌

There’s lots that’s been happening behind the scenes at Kiddycare as we prepare to welcome our children and families back for another exciting year.

From stocking up on new resources and refreshing our learning environments, to making plans for the year ahead we’re making sure our nurseries are ready for plenty more learning, exploring and growing. 🧸✨

Over at Little Willows we’ve been busy getting creating cosy spaces where children can relax, connect and spend time together 📚

Our Holiday Club have been having a fantastic time with lots of fun and creative activities! From marshmallow building, mirror painting and jelly water play to lemon and spoon races and decorating their own T-shirts🍋👕💦

There has been so much creativity, laughter and learning over the last few weeks which the children have really enjoyed ❤️
