Respected Parents/Carers

We would like to thank all parents who attended the update meeting on Sunday.

Alhamd…, we have raised in excess of £180,000 towards the purchase price of £925,000.

We still require £744,000 by Wednesday 25th March.

We have only few days left.

As discussed in the meeting, we recommend a focussed effort by all parents to meet our target. If the family of each pupil makes a concerted effort to collect £9,000 from family, friends, associates etc., we can reach our target. We urge all families to make this commitment, for the sake of our children and future generations.

We have prepared a fundraising presentation, as shown in the meeting, which provides ample information about the project and, insha…, will prove a useful resource for parents when meeting people. Please contact the school at [email protected] if you would like a copy.

Tips:

Keep in mind at all times that it is our Creator who will fulfil our need. He will incline the hearts of his servants towards us. Before approaching any individual, turn to The Almighty and ask His help.

Keep encouraging people you meet on a day-to-day basis to continue making dua and remind them of our immediate need.

Spread the word via social media among your contacts, e.g. daily update of whatsapp status with pic, messages etc. The school has put up a donate page on its new website with all relevant information about giving lillah and qarz. Please add a link to www.alislamia.org.uk/donate.

When approaching people, ask them that they can make whatever big or small lillah donation they wish, but emphasise the giving of a loan. Request them to lend whatever they can, be it £100, £250, £500, £1,000 or more. The rewards of giving qarz hasan are immense, and can surpass lillah due to the ongoing sacrifice lenders make.

Loans will be repaid within 60 days of request.

Let us extend our involvement and also include our family and friends in this worthy cause.

Respected Parents/Carers
As you may recall, we contacted you last year during the blessed month of Ramadhan to highlight the need for larger
premises to better meet the needs of the school. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your du‘as
and financial contributions in this regard throughout the course of the year.
At the time we identified three realistic options to meet our needs:
1. Relocate to a larger alternate building nearby.
2. Locate an additional building to supplement the existing one.
3. Extend the present building.
Alhamdulillah, a suitable property for relocation has recently appeared on the market. The site currently belongs to
Leicester City Council and is located at the corner of College Street and Seymour Street, very close to our present
site. It consists of two main buildings and ancillary buildings enclosed within a perimeter wall. Each main building is
to be auctioned as a separate lot, so there is an option of buying one or both.
The site will, insha…., be ideal for the school. The size and number of rooms, as well as generous open space for a
playground will give our children a more comfortable and spacious environment in which to spend the school day.
We will also be able to accommodate a larger number of pupils.
As there is only a very short amount of time (Auction Date: 12th February 2020) and a large amount of funding is
required we make a humble and heartfelt request to all parents and well-wishers to make earnest du‘as that the
Almighty creates the means, decrees in favour of the school and places goodness in it and accepts all our efforts in
acquiring the new property. Insha’….., through the fadhl of the Almighty and the du‘as of our Akaabir (pious elders),
of parents, well-wishers and the children too, our endeavours to better serve the religious and educational needs of
our children and future generations will be fruitful.
As our Akaabir (pious elders) point out, donating financially towards the establishment and running of Islamic schools
with the view that they are a means to safeguard the imaan and morals of our future generations is not only a highly
rewarding deed, it is the need of the time. Therefore, we urge parents and well-wishers to increase their own shares
in this good work, and also to pass the message on far and wide.
We have collection boxes at school for any parent who wishes to take one home for collection. Please contact the
office if you require one.
Those wishing to donate a large amount, requiring a receipt (for any amount) or wishing to set up a standing order
(of any regular amount) please see overleaf.
Note: If we are unsuccessful in our bid to purchase the new premises, donations will be set aside in the following
manner.
• To pay off the existing debt of £39,950.00 for the present premises
• The remaining amount will be set aside for future expansion projects

May the Almighty reward you for your continued support and accept all our efforts and sacrifices for His Deen.
