My name is Michelle and i am an Ofsted registered childminder situated in Houghton-On-The-Hill. I have worked with children since leaving school in playgroups, youth work and nurseries but decided to become a childminder after having my first child. I offer a safe, fun, warm, caring, and nurturing home from home environment where children are provided with many learning opportunities. Daily activities can include creative play, messy play, construction, role play, physical play, cooking, story time/ reading opprtunities, music and movement, computer, outdoor play and more. I offer various outings to parks, farms, playgroups, library e.t.c
My aim is to provide children with key life skills such as manners, politeness, socialising and making friendships through the warm home environment provided. I aim to aid children with their learning so that they have the necessary skills required before starting school. I support individuality and encourage learning through your child's likes and interests. This makes learning an enjoyable and fun experience. I follow the Early Years Foundation Stages and will happily discuss this with you so that you can fully be aware of what your child is doing and how this will aid their development. Development is recorded through the use of photographs, written observations and childrens work. All progress will be available for you to view through your own personal and very secure online account so that you can monitor progress at any time and from the comfort of your own home. You will receive a daily log of the fun and learning activities your child has has participated in and specific care such as nappy changes, food eaten and about their general well being. You will easily be able to see how the various activities relate to learning and development. You will be given support on using the online system (if needed, as it is very user friendly) but I am always here for you and your child and will happily discuss with you in person your child's care and needs. I love working with children and understand how hard it can be to leave them. I am also here to help you as a parent. I am always honest, reliable and trustworthy every step of the way. I have children of my own and would not want anything less for them! My Experience
I have been working with children for many years and have worked with all ages of children from 0-18 years. I am most experienced in the early years age group (0-5) with the majority of my work being nursery based. I have references available to view from the last nursery I worked in and from previous parents. BTEC National Diploma in childhood studies (level 3)

I offer care from Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm but these hours may be adapted to suit your needs. Before and after school care available for children attending Houghton on the Hill C of E Primary School. Registered to provide FREE spaces for eligible 2, 3 & 4 year old children.
