We have officially opened our brand new trim trail!

This fantastic new play equipment has been made possible thanks to the incredible efforts of our children, their families, our dedicated staff, and the wider community who came together to raise the funds.

The benefits of outdoor play are so important for primary-aged children. Our new trim trail will:

🌟 Support physical development, balance and coordination
🌟 Build strength, resilience and confidence
🌟 Encourage teamwork, turn-taking and problem-solving
🌟 Boost wellbeing through fresh air and active play

This project has also shown our pupils the power of community. By working together towards a shared goal, we’ve demonstrated what can be achieved when everyone plays their part. Thank you to everyone who contributed.

On Friday, we were extremely proud that four of our schools received letters from the Education Secretary, congratulating them on achieving the best outcomes in the country for disadvantaged children.

The recognition for Abbey Mead Primary Academy, Kestrel Mead Primary Academy, Knighton Mead Primary Academy and Rowlatts Mead Primary Academy is a testament to the dedication of staff, the ambition of students, and the power of high-quality, inclusive education.

We are looking for staff to join our team. Do you have a desire to make a difference for children? Do you want to work in a team that strive to 'be the best we can be' for the children that need it most?

We are looking for;

1x TA to work in the Special Needs Unit (DSP). This unit caters for children aged 4-7 with ASD. (32.5hrs per week 8.10-3.10)

2 x TA to work with INFANT children with additional needs. (32.5hrs per week 8.10-3.10)

1 x TA to work with JUNIOR children who find regulating their social, emotional and mental health needs difficult. Sometimes these children show us they are not coping by using their behaviour as communication. We want someone to join us who champions these children and has a strong desire to help them feel belonging and success. (32.5 hrs 8.30-3.30)
