Bluebell Nursery School Bluebell nursery school is a term time setting based in rural Stoughton. We are registered with Ofsted and the Local authority, accepting all funding.

Bluebell Nursery School is a fun, stimulating, learning environment for children aged 2 -5 years
We work very closely with our local schools and support services to ensure every child is fully supported by caring staff and encouraged to reach their full potential. We can offer all 3 and 4 year olds free funded sessions aswell as eligible 2 year olds.

🌿 A Little Bit of Bluebell…

Enjoying the sunshine! ☀️💙

We headed outdoors for another little adventure, with so much to see, discover and imagine along the way.

We blew dandelion clocks, balanced and weaved our way around the equipment, explored the apple trees, dug and sieved the soil and even stopped to give a tree a great big hug! 🌳🍎

And, of course, a wooden pallet isn’t just a pallet when you’re a child… today it became a boat! ⛵ The children climbed aboard and used their imaginations, taking turns to be the captain and deciding where their adventure would take them.

Outdoor play gives our children wonderful opportunities to develop confidence, curiosity, physical skills, communication and imagination, while learning to cooperate, share ideas and take turns.

🌸🎨 Little artists, big imaginations…

We brought some beautiful sweet peas into nursery and invited the children to take a really good look.

What colours could they see?
What shapes did they notice?
And how would they like to create their own?

At Bluebell, we love giving children the freedom to explore art in their own way. There was no picture to copy and no expectation that everyone’s creation should look the same.

Just real flowers, lots of lovely colours and plenty of imagination. 💙

Because sometimes the most beautiful part of children’s artwork is seeing the world through their eyes. 🌸

🌿 Growing Our Bluebell Allotment 🌿

We’ve been busy developing our allotment at Bluebell Nursery School, creating a special outdoor space that encourages our children to connect with nature, explore and discover. 🍃🐞

Little by little, the area is growing with us. We’re creating opportunities for the children to dig, plant and grow, investigate minibeasts, explore natural materials and simply enjoy spending time in the outdoors. 🌱

For us, it isn’t about creating a perfect garden — it’s about creating a space where children can be curious, get their hands dirty, notice the changing seasons and learn from the natural world around them. 💚

And we’re not finished yet! We’ll continue developing the allotment alongside the children, following their interests and adding new opportunities for exploration as we go.

We’re rather proud of how far our little outdoor space has come. 🥰

At Bluebell, sometimes the simplest things inspire the biggest ideas! 💙

Give our children a cardboard box, a tube, some tape and a little imagination and there’s no telling what it might become. 🚀🏠🤖

Junk modelling gives our children the freedom to create their own ideas, solve little problems, work together and, most importantly, have fun making something that is completely their own.

There’s no right or wrong way to create at Bluebell — just lots of imagination! ✨

We love watching friendships grow and seeing our children become happy, confident little people. 🥰

🌳 Learning doesn’t stop at the nursery door…

We’re very lucky at Bluebell to have the beautiful orchard and countryside right on our doorstep. 💙

Our children love putting on their wellies and heading out to explore — noticing the changing seasons, discovering what’s growing, collecting natural treasures and simply enjoying the freedom of being outdoors.

These little adventures give us so many opportunities for conversation, curiosity and learning together. 🍂🌿🐞

And sometimes, it’s lovely just to stop and take in the view. 💙
