Art Club pottery fun.
It was extremely messy and we could have done with another hour, but these clay mobiles are coming on a treat.
The only person to drop paint all over themselves was Mrs Turner. 🙈
Thanks to this art club. It has been brilliant fun. Remember this was the last session for this group.
Our art exhibition goes up this Friday. Keep an eye out for our fantastic work on the school railings. 🖼️

Almost there with this arrangement of Watermelon Sugar. Absolutely brilliant work from this group! 🎵🎵🎵
We are preparing for the Steel Pan Jam on 27th June, where we spend the day at a Steel Pan festival in Leicester.
We will play alongside other schools and a professional pan band, all led by Mrs Pat Munroe, our steel pan hero.
Tickets are available for this event and it is open to the public. See the poster on the school’s main entrance for details.

Absolutely amazing! Look at all of Mrs Gee’s recorder players performing brilliantly in assembly this morning!
How fantastic that so many of them have stuck at their lessons for the whole year.
We are so proud of them and how much progress they have all made.
A huge thank you to Mrs Gee for volunteering every Friday to teach everyone. What a superstar! I know she’ll be very proud of all of her pupils. 🎵🎵
We are so proud of all of our pianists, some of whom are shown here, who gave a fabulous concert tonight. They were joined by pupils of Jo Markham from other schools, and we were treated to an evening of fantastic music. You all showed great progress and we are so proud of you all. Well done. 🎵🎵

🏃♂️🏃♀️ Saffron Lane 2026 🏃♀️🏃♂️
Yesterday saw us take 40 children to the South Leicestershire School Sports Partnership athletics competition. It was a fantastic opportunity for our children to put themselves up against other schools in different events.
We are so proud of what they did and how hard they worked on the day but also in their training in the build up.

Art Club enjoyed working on a pottery project today. We are making hanging clay mobiles. More to come next week.

Lots of the artwork for the exhibition is now completed. Art club members have done a fabulous job of creating pictures on a theme of A.
Well done everyone. These will be on display later in the month on the school railings. Exhibition dates are 19th June- 3rd July.
There is still time for anyone who is interested in being involved to collect a canvas.
