🌟New Year 3 Tutoring Group🌟

I'm so pleased to announce that I have availability for children going into year 3!

I have been waiting to find space in my timetable to form a year 3 group.

I feel that year 3 is a pivotal year in primary school as place value learning increases, the children are introduced to written calculation strategies , trickier timetables are introduced and division is often a challenging area for year 3 children.

In the sessions, we will:
🌟 count physical objects to 1000 to truly understand place value beyond 100.
🌟Develop a deeper understanding of 3 digit amounts in practical ways.
🌟Learn the 3, 4, and 8 timetables through songs and timestable drumming . We will also use objects, images, sequences, and pattern hunting to understand that multiplication is repeated addition.
🌟Misconceptions around division often form in year 3, so we will use practical objects to understand what it is and discover the link with multiplication.
🌟Secure mental calculation strategies and introduve written.

My overall aim is for the children to develop an enjoyment for maths and develop their confidence as they move into key stage 2.

🌟Year 6 Parents 🌟

🚨Schools were due to receive SATs results on Tuesday to share with you on the last week of term for us here in Leicestershire.

🚨They are now delayed. Hopefully, your child's school will find a way to share these with you over the summer holidays.

🌟However, you may not get the opportunity to discuss the results with your child's teacher.

🌟If you're unsure of the different gradings and the meaning of some of the terms used, please pop me a message. I'll be more than happy to explain your child's results x x🌟

☀️In just one week of sharing my calendar, nearly half of my summer holiday sessions have been booked already☀️

💛Thank you to everyone who has already booked a slot.

💫Remember, these are completely optional for current students, and I am also taking on students who would like holiday sessions only.

In the sessions,I explore any areas from the child's current year that need securing and also begin to pre teach what will arise after the holidays in their next year.

☀️The learning is all very hands-on and practical with the use of my outdoor learning space where possible.
