As a teacher, there are certain things I hope every child knows.

Not because they'll help them get a better test score, but because they'll help them become more confident, resilient and willing to keep learning.

Every child learns differently. Every child grows at their own pace. And every child deserves to feel heard, supported and believed in.

Over the years, I've learned that confidence often comes before achievement. When a child believes they can do something, they're far more likely to keep trying until they succeed.

That's the environment we've always wanted to create at Smart Learners Academy. A place where children feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes and discover just how capable they really are.

Because education isn't just about passing exams.

It's about helping children believe in themselves.

If you're looking for a place where your child will be encouraged, supported and inspired to reach their full potential, we'd love to welcome you.

Week 2 of our Summer Camp was another one to remember.

From getting creative with slime making, designing our own caps, canvas painting and paint your own kits, to baking delicious flapjacks, every day was packed with fun and learning.

We also enjoyed a scavenger hunt at the library, a trip to the park, and a fantastic visit from Reshma's Academy, where the children learned all about the digestive system and, of course, had lots of laughs while talking about poo!

Alongside all of that, we kept the energy high with plenty of games, sports and activities that brought everyone together.

It's been amazing to see the children making new friends, building confidence and creating memories they'll remember long after the summer holidays are over. We can't wait to see what Week 3 has in store.

There are so many misconceptions about tutoring, and they often stop families from getting the support their child could really benefit from.

At Smart Learners Academy, we believe tutoring isn't about adding pressure or simply improving grades. It's about building confidence, developing independent learners and helping every child realise what they're truly capable of.

Every child learns differently, and with the right guidance, encouragement and approach, they can achieve far more than they ever thought possible.

Swipe through as we separate fact from fiction and uncover what tutoring is really all about.

If you've ever wondered whether tutoring is the right step for your child, we'd love to answer your questions. Get in touch with our team today.

Two weeks in and the fun hasn't stopped.

Here's a look back at everything our children got up to during Week 1 of Summer Camp. From colourful face painting and hands on baking to dress up fun, creative activities and making new friends, it was the perfect start to an unforgettable summer.

Watching the children grow in confidence, build friendships and enjoy every moment has been the highlight of our summer so far, and there is still plenty more to come.

Thank you to all of our wonderful parents for trusting Smart Learners Academy to make this summer one to remember.

Some of the most meaningful things aren't awards, certificates or expensive gifts.

They're the handwritten cards tucked away in drawers.
The little notes written in colourful pens.
The messages from children who simply wanted to say "thank you."
Years later, we still have them.

Not because they're perfect, but because they remind us why Smart Learners Academy exists.

Behind every card is a child who grew in confidence.

A family who trusted us.

A moment that mattered.

Reading words like "You've always been there for me" or "Thank you for everything" means more than we could ever put into words.

Teaching has never just been about lessons. It's about building confidence, creating memories and making every child feel seen, supported and capable of achieving more than they ever thought possible.

These little pieces of paper might not look like much to someone else.
To us, they're a reminder that the greatest impact we can make isn't measured in gifts or grades.

It's measured in the lives we help shape.

Thank you to every child and every family who has been part of our journey. We treasure every single one of these memories.

The words we use with children matter more than we often realise.
A simple "let's try together" can build confidence.
"I believe in you" can give a child the courage to keep going.
"Mistakes are welcome" creates a safe space where real learning begins.

At Smart Learners Academy, we believe education is about so much more than grades. It's about nurturing confidence, resilience and a genuine love for learning. Every child deserves to feel supported, encouraged and valued throughout their journey.

These aren't just phrases we say. They're the foundation of how we teach, how we connect and how we help every learner grow.

Because when children believe in themselves, there's no limit to what they can achieve.

Welcome back to Reena Recommends.

This week's recommendation is Play Doh, and it's one of the best activities for strengthening the small muscles in your child's hands.

Strong hand muscles are essential for developing pencil control, improving handwriting and making everyday classroom tasks feel much easier. By rolling, squeezing, stretching and moulding Play Doh, children are building these important skills without even realising they're learning.
It's a simple, affordable activity that supports fine motor development while keeping children engaged and having fun.

Give it a try at home this week and let us know how your child gets on.

Follow along for more simple learning recommendations in the next Reena Recommends.

Behind every lesson is a promise I make to every child who walks through our doors.

To be patient.
To listen.
To encourage.
To celebrate every step forward, no matter how big or small.

Tutoring has never been just about improving grades. It's about helping children build confidence, enjoy learning again and realise they are capable of achieving far more than they believe.

Every child learns differently, grows at their own pace and deserves to feel supported throughout their journey. Whether they're joining us for group sessions or one to one tuition, my goal is always the same. To create a positive environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and becoming the very best version of themselves.

These are my non negotiables because every child deserves a tutor who genuinely cares about who they are, not just the marks on a piece of paper.

If you're looking for a tutor who puts your child's confidence and wellbeing alongside their academic progress, we'd love to welcome you to Smart Learners Academy.

Get in touch to find out how we can support your child's learning journey.

🚨 Your child comes home saying these words… do you know what they mean? πŸ˜…

πŸ‘€ Before you panic, here’s your parent cheat sheet!

Skibidi – A silly internet meme with no real meaning. It’s just random Gen Alpha humour.

Rizz – Someone who has charm, confidence, or is good at flirting.

Sigma – A person who is independent, confident, and does things their own way.

No cap – I’m telling the truth. Seriously.

Bruh – An expression used when someone is surprised, shocked, or frustrated.

Cooked – Feeling exhausted, in trouble, or that a situation has gone badly.

Most of these are simply harmless internet slang that children pick up from friends and social media. Knowing what they mean makes it much easier to join the conversation instead of worrying about it. 😊
