We are incredibly proud to announce that Newlands Primary School has been
awarded the prestigious Values-Based Education (VbE) Quality Mark following a visit from Dr Neil Hawkes, the founder of VbE, on Tuesday 2nd June.

During his visit, Dr Hawkes met with pupils, staff and governors and he praised the school, he said, “There was no doubt in our minds that Newlands Community Primary School is a values-based school and richly deserves the Values Quality Mark. This is a school with a big heart, where good relationships create an inclusive happy school; pupils are well educated and are given an outstanding level of individual care.”

This award is a huge achievement and recognises the hard work and commitment of every member of our school community in promoting kindness, respect and fairness.

As a school, we will now continue to build on this success, working towards the Enhanced Quality Mark by further developing our pupils’ leadership, reflection, and understanding of our school values in action.

🎶We’re absolutely delighted to announce that our choir have made it through to the Choir of the Year Grand Final at DeMontfort Hall on Tuesday!🎶

This is a huge achievement, and we could not be prouder of every single pupil involved. Their dedication, enthusiasm and love of music have shone through. As always, our pupils continue to ✨Shine Bright ✨ in everything they do.

🌿 Our Eco Warriors Shine Brightly!🌿

We are bursting with pride! Our incredible Eco Warriors were invited to speak at the Hinckley & Bosworth Annual Rural Conference about the amazing work they do in our school to care for the environment.

Not only did they share their ideas and initiatives, but they also spoke confidently in front of a large audience of councillors and guests. Their passion, knowledge, and dedication truly impressed everyone!

Well done, Eco Warriors – you are inspiring us all to make a difference, one green step at a time! 💚
