📵✨ Thriving Without Phones! ✨📵
We're incredibly proud of how our students have embraced our mobile phone-free school environment.
Since introducing this change, we've seen students engaging more with one another, focusing more deeply in lessons, and making the most of their break and lunchtime activities. The positive attitude, resilience, and maturity our students have shown throughout the transition has been outstanding.
Students have said:
‘Today break went so quickly…..normally it feels really long’
‘We were playing Uno, everyone was laughing so much’
A huge thank you to our students, staff, and families for their support. Together, we're creating a learning environment where attention, wellbeing, and meaningful connections can flourish.
👏 Well done, everyone - we're delighted with how well the changes are working and excited to continue building on this success.
❤️

Minecraft continues to be a highly popular platform for children, combining creativity, problem-solving and social interaction.
While the game can offer positive opportunities for learning and play, features such as public servers, multiplayer modes and in-game communication can create safeguarding challenges.
Our latest guide supports educators and parents in understanding these risks and helping children play more safely.
The guide explores:
• Public server communication and contact with unknown players
• Griefing, disruptive behaviour and online conflict
• In-game spending and subscription costs
• Addictive gameplay loops and balanced screen time
• Safer settings, private servers and suitable game modes
With clear, practical advice, the guide helps adults set boundaries, encourage safer choices and support responsible Minecraft use.

🇪🇸 Yesterday, our Year 10 Spanish students immersed themselves in the vibrant culture of Spain with a visit to a local Spanish restaurant!
At Barceloneta, students enjoyed a delicious selection of traditional tapas in an authentic setting filled with Spanish music and lively conversation. From champiñones to patatas bravas, our young ambassadors embraced the experience with enthusiasm and excellent company.
A fantastic opportunity to bring language learning to life beyond the classroom — ¡fue delicioso! ✨🍽️

Our trust-wide Debate Competition brought together learners from across our Trust and partner schools last Friday for an exciting day of discussion, challenge and teamwork at Babington Academy.
Learners from our secondary schools took on thought-provoking debates around mobile phones and social media, whilst our younger learners explored important environmental issues with confidence and creativity.
It was fantastic to see so many learners speaking with passion, respect and determination as they put their debating skills to the test.
A huge congratulations to Ravensdale Primary School and Lancaster Academy for taking home the winning trophies, and well done to every learner who took part and represented their school so brilliantly.
