The school holidays have arrived, but Lancaster Academy is anything but quiet. While the learners enjoy a well earned break, the builders have moved in.

Over the summer the site will see a full refurbishment programme alongside work on brand new rooms. Expect scaffolding, skips, and the occasional cement mixer where the lunch queue used to be.

The aim is simple. When everyone returns in August, the school will feel fresher, brighter, and better equipped, with paint that is hopefully dry by then!

We'll share progress photos along the way. Hard hats are optional, but currently more common on site than school ties!

Thank You, Mrs Fisher

Yesterday marked the end of an incredible chapter at Lancaster Academy as we said a fond farewell to our Principal, Anna Fisher, who retired from headship after years of dedicated service to our school community.

The celebrations began with a guard of honour, as learners and staff lined the route to thank Anna for her years of leadership and dedication.

There was then a special celebration where learners presented Anna with plants and thoughtful gifts before heartfelt speeches reflected on her time at Lancaster and the difference she has made to the lives of so many young people. The event ended with a wonderful musical performance from one of our Year 9 learners, providing a memorable finale to the occasion.

On behalf of everyone at Lancaster Academy and Learning without Limits Academy Trust, we would like to thank Mrs Fisher for her dedication, kindness and unwavering belief in our learners. We wish her every happiness for the future, Thank you, for everything you have done for Lancaster Academy.

🎶 What an incredible two days! 🎻

We were delighted to welcome the London Philharmonia Orchestra to our school, where they delivered a series of inspiring and engaging workshops for our Year 7 and Year 8 students.

Across the two days, our students had the opportunity to explore the world of orchestral music, develop their musical skills through a series of workshops in string instruments/wind instruments/ percussion instruments, students have composed their own music and been a pilot for the London Philharmonia VR experience. It has been incredible to experience the creativity, teamwork, and passion that professional musicians bring to every performance.

A huge thank you to the London Philharmonia Orchestra for sharing their expertise and inspiring the next generation of musicians. It has been a truly memorable experience for everyone involved!
