A huge well done to Sophia and Dario, who auditioned today for the Young Company production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: The Musical! 🍫
The cast announcements are today and we’re all feeling the excitement!

Both gave it their absolute all, singing and dancing their hearts out, and we couldn’t be prouder of them. An incredible achievement in itself so far, with over 850 applicants and only 66 invited to audition for the Young Company.

Sophia and Dario have already achieved something truly special by making it this far. We are so proud of their hard work, dedication, and bravery. Good luck to them both!

As a large centre of excellence in Performing Arts, we at the Ann Oliver Stage School help children to achieve and develop their true potential in a nurturing and friendly environment filled with a mixture of imagination, creativity and discipline, all at the forefront of our teaching.

In many disciplines, the school provides passionate and safe teaching, believing that the enjoyment and wellbeing of the pupils is paramount. We offer classes for both girls and boys, from the age of two upwards of all abilities ensuring that all of our pupils get a solid technical grounding in all areas of dance and theatre.

Our graded classes provide the foundations in technique, knowledge and understanding of the three core dance disciplines; Classical Ballet, Modern Jazz, Tap and other auxiliary disciplines; Lyrical, Acrobatics, Gymnastics, Pointe work and competition work! Following programmes of study offered by BTDA these classes ensure that students have a sound base on which to develop their love of dance and performing.

Choreographer Announcement!

Colby Richardson – An amazing commercial teacher who has worked with pop artists, appeared on TV productions, and has recently returned from working in LA. His classes are always high-energy, inspiring, and packed with industry-style choreography and performance training.

Anna King – A true all-rounder! Alongside working professionally as a dancer, Anna also works as a casting agent, bringing invaluable industry knowledge and experience into every class.

Workshops include:
➡️ Commercial – Dynamic, industry-style training focused on confidence, musicality, versatility, and personal performance style.
➡️ Contemporary – Creative and expressive classes designed to develop technique, movement quality, and performance skills.

Age groups are for juniors (ages 8–12) and seniors (ages 13+).
