✨ That's a wrap on 2025/26! ✨

What a year it has been – full of change, growth, and exciting new beginnings! 🌟

This year, over 5,000 students have taken part in work experience opportunities, whether through extended placements, block placements, or independent work experience. Seeing so many young people gain valuable workplace skills has been incredible.

At the start of the year, we launched a brand-new database. While it was a challenging transition for the team, it has been well worth it. The new system is already helping us develop even more exciting initiatives to support our students, schools, and employers.

We're also thrilled we have now expanded our Work Experience Team! 🎉 We've welcomed some fantastic new colleagues, and they're settling in brilliantly. Keep an eye out for a Meet the Team post coming soon!

One of the biggest highlights has been the amazing feedback we've received from students, schools, and employers. Hearing about the positive impact work experience has had and celebrating so many success stories reminds us why we do what we do. 💙

A huge thank you to every student, employer, school, and colleague who has supported us throughout the year. We couldn't do it without you.

🎉 It's National Work Experience Month! 🎉

At LEBC, we pride ourselves on bridging the gap between education and the world of work, and one of the key ways we do this is through our Work Experience programme.

Working alongside schools across Leicester and Leicestershire, we help students secure valuable work experience placements that build confidence, develop essential workplace skills, and prepare them for their future careers.

Behind the scenes, our dedicated Health & Safety team works tirelessly to ensure every placement is safe, suitable, and fully compliant, while supporting employers with everything they need to provide students with a positive and rewarding experience.

Work experience is so much more than a week in the workplace – it's an opportunity for young people to discover new interests, gain real-world experience, and take their first steps towards a successful future.

Throughout National Work Experience Month, we'll be shining a spotlight on the impact of work experience, sharing behind-the-scenes insights, success stories, and the incredible work our team and employer partners do to make it all happen.
