​Tomorrow marks a massive milestone as the majority of our incredible Year 11 Herewoode Academy students officially finish their GCSE journey! We still have 44 dedicated students sitting their final exam on Tuesday, so the hard work isn't quite over for everyone just yet—keep pushing, team, you're almost at the finish line! 🏁

​To every single one of our Year 11s: we are so incredibly proud of the resilience, hard work, and brilliant character you’ve shown throughout your time with us. It feels like just yesterday you were walking through the doors as nervous Year 7s!

📢 Important Notice for all Parents, Carers, and Students 📢

A quick reminder that today all students at The Herewoode Academy will be issued their new mobile phone pouches in preparation for tomorrow.

Starting tomorrow morning, all students will be required to lock their phones inside these secure pouches for the duration of the school day. This is in line with the recent guidance from the Department for Education regarding mobile phone use in schools, aimed at creating a distraction-free environment where everyone can focus and learn.

Please note that our policy will be strictly enforced. Any student found using their mobile phone on school grounds from tomorrow onward will face the standard sanctions laid out in the school’s behavior policy.

Pitch-perfect teamwork on display! ⛺️🍳

​Our incredible Duke of Edinburgh’s Award girls here at The Herewoode Academy have kicked off their expedition in style. First task: setting up camp and getting those tents pitched perfectly.

​Now, they are getting to grips with outdoor cooking, and we have to say—it looks and smells absolutely amazing! There are definitely some future masterchefs in the making out here.

​Huge luck to our incredible Year 10 DofE girls at The Herewoode Academy as they set out on their 2-day expedition today! They’ve spent weeks planning routes, packing heavy bags, and practicing their navigation skills. Now, it's time to put it all to the test and secure that Bronze Award!

​We are so proud of their teamwork, resilience, and determination. Teamwork makes the dream work!
