This week Willow class were looking at what they’d like to be when they’re older!

From horse riders, soft play owners, to cleaners and pastors, we pray for each and every child that the Lord has placed into our care in His school.

When discussing their futures, no matter what the age of the child, we encourage pupils to see what God wants them to do. We can make plans but ultimately, if Christ is our Lord and Saviour, we trust our lives to him.

*WARNING - fish cutting pictures!!!*

Year 9/10 pupils have had a very fishy week!

Year 9 learning about protein and the source of protein that fish is, made fish and chips on Monday.

Today year 10 were learning about fish (sustainable fishing, nutrients in fish, and how to process fish), and so naturally they had a whole fish to process.

It’s amazing that the Lord provides for us in an abundance of ways, most of our pupils were thankful for this provision today, others were a little disgusted!!

It has been a wonderful first week of the year!

Did you know we have a school dog? Meet clover! Clover is Mr & Mrs Harris’ dog and he comes into school! Clover is a great friend to our pupils. He’s helped pupils overcome their fear of dogs, he helps pupils understand responsibility and learn how to care for a pet, he acts as a therapy dog - helping pupils to calm down if they’re feeling anxious or just needing a cuddle, he’s generally just a joy to have around school.

Clover missed all of our pupils and staff over the summer so he’s definitely glad to be back!

It was an emotional time last week saying goodbye to our year 11’s- we will continue to keep them (all of our past pupils!) in our prayers, please know you’re welcome to pop back in any time.

We’re also looking forwards to our new academic year! Staff are getting ready to welcome pupils back, we can’t wait to hear about your summer!

I’n certain Willow class will still remember their zoo trip, it was a great day!

And that’s another academic year come to its conclusion!

Thank you Lord for your faithfulness this year! We praise You and rejoice in You always.

Please do keep our school in your prayers over the summer. For pupils and staff to rest and recharge their batteries- many going on evangelistic camps/missions (Abel Camps, United Beach Missions, Arnesby Camps and more I’m sure!), for Mrs McDowell and her husband as they welcome their first child, for Mr Sutton and his bride to be as they commit themselves to each other in marriage before God.

We also say goodbye to some pupils who are moving on, we continue to keep you in our prayers.

And we also say goodbye to Mrs Donna Allen. Donna thank you for your service to the Lord, doing His work at Emmanuel for the last 5 and a half years. May He bless you and keep you in whatever He has planned for you next.
