We’ve been out and about exploring the Stomp It! Elephant Trail around Leicester – and what a colourful and creative adventure it is! 🎨👣

Our lovely playgroup mascot elephant felt right at home among all the beautifully decorated elephants on display. It's such a fantastic way to explore the city and celebrate art in the community!

🚼 Pushchair Parking – New Signage! 🛑🛺

We’ve added new signs to clearly mark where parents and carers can store pushchairs during sessions here at the playgroup.

These designated areas are now easy to spot with our bright signage – making drop-offs and pick-ups just that little bit easier. 🟡💬

Please remember that pushchairs are stored at your own risk, so we kindly recommend not leaving valuables inside.

🚸 New Safety Signs Installed! 🚸

We’re excited to share that we’ve recently installed new safety signs at Broad Street Playgroup to help keep everyone safe — especially our children and parents.

👣 These signs are a reminder to drivers that:

The road leading to our playgroup is single track, and oncoming traffic is possible.

Parents and children may be crossing the car park, particularly during drop-off and pick-up times.

Please slow down and drive with extra care when entering and exiting the car park.

Our priority is creating a space where families feel safe and confident walking to and from the playgroup. Thank you to all our visitors for helping us make this a safer environment for everyone. 💛

🎨📚 A Colourful Trip to New Walk Museum! 📚🎨

This week, the owner of our playgroup had the pleasure of visiting the New Walk Museum in Leicester to see the fantastic new exhibition celebrating the work of beloved children's author and illustrator David McKee – and what a treat it was! 💫

The exhibition showcases some of McKee’s most iconic characters, including the wonderfully colourful Elmer the Patchwork Elephant, the imaginative Mr Benn, and the unforgettable Not Now, Bernard. 🐘🎩👦

It was truly inspiring to see the original artwork and illustrations that have brought so much joy to children (and adults!) over the years. The vibrant displays, creative storytelling, and nostalgic touches made it such a special experience. 💖🌈
