The Drum Bunker Drum lessons in Leicester, drum kit & cymbal, repair, renovation, parts, spares and kit hire. I also renovate and restore drum kits.

I teach all styles of drum playing in my purpose built studio in Leicester. I work with schools teaching groups of students. The age range I work with is from 5 to 85. The skill range is from absolute beginner to seasoned professional. I play in a number of bands, so not only do I teach how to pass music grades, I also teach real live drumming techniques that help a drummer survive and flourish in a real band environment

Fully refurbished, a great, old Yamaha 800 Series, double bass drum pedal, has been stripped, cleaned and base plates resprayed. Had to modify and replace a few bits, including a new drive shaft to get it back into working order. Its now as smooth as silk and ready for it's next chapter.

The latest, 70's Premier Olympic kit is finally done, though not a minter, this ticks all the boxes. 12/14/20" with a matching 14", 1005 steel snare, sounds superb and boast lots of original features including heads. I really would keep this one, if I had a corner to stash it in.

Another Premier Olympic 1005 snare being built out of salvaged parts, only part that's not original to this model is the bottom hoop, that's off a 1026 or similar. It's not a minter, but it's still a great bit of kit for not a lot of money.

Three kits finished in a week, amazing what you can do when parts arrive and you pull your finger out. This jellybean Premier Olympic is a great looking kit, built out of orphans and a converted (14x12") concert tom. Its not a minter, but a great sounding kit, ready for a new home.

Just finished this curious Newsound Deluxe, 14x5.5", steel snare drum, took a bit of doing as it was all seized up and hadn't been assembled correctly at some point. Now works as it should, sounds great, it's not a minter, but is a cracking, good snare.
