Last week, our paediatric simulation focussed on a scenario where a 6 month old was referred for a fluid challenge due to gastroenteritis. ๐ฉ๐ถ
The delegates took a focussed history and examination, and when things didnโt quite add up appropriately questioned the information presented to them. ๐ค
The team recognised this childโs acute deterioration was in fact due to intussusception, and began management to stabilise the patient. ๐

Last week, one of our FY2 colleagues presented their work at TASME! ๐
In collaborating with EM3, โThe Emergency Medicine CT3 Step-Upโ pilot programme saw core level trainees enrol to help them develop senior-decision-maker skills. The results were fantastic, with mean confidence increasing across all domains for all participants! ๐
