Last week, our paediatric simulation focussed on a scenario where a 6 month old was referred for a fluid challenge due to gastroenteritis. ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿ‘ถ

The delegates took a focussed history and examination, and when things didnโ€™t quite add up appropriately questioned the information presented to them. ๐Ÿค”

The team recognised this childโ€™s acute deterioration was in fact due to intussusception, and began management to stabilise the patient. ๐Ÿ™Œ

In collaborating with EM3, โ€œThe Emergency Medicine CT3 Step-Upโ€ pilot programme saw core level trainees enrol to help them develop senior-decision-maker skills. The results were fantastic, with mean confidence increasing across all domains for all participants! ๐Ÿ“ˆ
