It may be AI-generated, but somehow it captures our back-to-school feeling perfectly, the excitement, the anticipation, the slightly nervous first steps, and the familiar feeling of returning to a place that feels like home.

This week, we will be delighted to welcome our first student arrivals, including our new boarders and their families as they begin their Ratcliffe journey here in the UK🇬🇧. We will also be welcoming our new Year 7 cohort, who will be taking their first steps into Senior School and a whole host of new adventures. 💙

Pre-season also kicks off this week in Senior Sport, with our students getting back into training and preparing for an exciting year ahead. 🏑🏉

On Monday, we look forward to welcoming back all our students across Nursery, Prep and the Senior School, as well as welcoming our new students and their families to Ratcliffe.

For some, it will be a familiar walk through the gates. For others, it will be their first big step into a new school, a new chapter and a whole host of new adventures. ✨

🌱 New at Ratcliffe College - Spring 2027

Our Day Nursery is expanding, offering dedicated year-round childcare for children aged 6 months to 4 years, subject to final approvals. Located in the beautiful grounds of our 200-acre Campus, the new provision in the nursery will provide flexible, nurturing Early Years education for working families across Leicestershire, Loughborough and surrounding areas, with a seamless journey through to Preparatory School and beyond.

Eligible families will be able to access government-funded childcare support and Early Years vouchers, helping make outstanding childcare and education more accessible.

Year 11 students at Ratcliffe College are celebrating 2026 GCSE examination results, with over 40% of all grades awarded at 7–9.

Students and staff came together to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the 2026 cohort today, who have demonstrated exceptional resilience and determination throughout their studies.

This year’s results underline the College’s dedication to the highest standards of teaching and learning. Ratcliffe students continue to significantly outperform their peers in the maintained sector, with the number of passes at grade 7 or above in many subjects twice the national average, reflecting the College’s commitment to excellence.

We are rewinding it back to our Sixth Form Summer Ball - a truly unforgettable evening at Prestwold Hall last summer term. ✨

Bathed in glorious sunshine and filled with elegance, laughter, and celebration, the night was everything we hoped it would be. From the glamorous arrivals to the memories made with friends. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the summer term for our Sixth Form students and to give our Year 13 leavers a fitting send-off as they completed their time with us.🌞💙

It has been another fantastic week of our Summer Holiday Camps here on campus! Our Ratcliffe junior students have had the best time enjoying the slip 'n' slide, arts and crafts, dens and forest trails, sports, the mud kitchen, water play, and so much more.

Week 3, calls for a day in London! 🚍

Our International Summer School students spent the day exploring some of London’s most famous landmarks yesterday. There was plenty of energy as we watched the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, visited Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, explored the Science Museum, and finished the day at the Tower of London.

Meanwhile, our Steinway & Sons international pianists explored the Steinway Hall showroom in Marylebone, where they had the opportunity to try a variety of exceptional pianos, enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of the workshop, and take part in a masterclass led by the internationally acclaimed concert pianist Andrew Zolinsky.

Trips like these are a big part of the Ratcliffe Summer School experience, giving students the chance to discover the UK, spend time with friends from around the world, and enjoy learning beyond the classroom.
