Today we visited the train station 🚉 and stood on the bridge as trains went under. They blew their horns and the train drivers waved back at us. We talked about -
* Electric, steam and cargo trains.
*Barriers, signals and lights.
*Directions, futher, nearer, under, over and through.
*passengers, drivers, ticket conductors, platforms, ticket office and cargo. (And much more).
We also enjoyed using our gross motor skills at two lovely parks and then went to a cafe to choose and order our own lunches. Lots of awe and wonder=fabulous language and engagement 🤩 [Following child's interest of trains]

On our learning walk this morning we heard a helicopter 🚁, recognized numbers, Said good morning to people from our community, smelt lavender, looked closely and felt the form of tiny conker shells, found cherries growing on a tree, helped ourselves to a pot of sunflower offerings from a neighbors front garden, watched a bumble bee 🐝 stopped and quieted ourselves so a horse 🐎didn't get spooked and looked closely at its different coloured hoofs , said hello softly to the rider and the awe and wonder moment ...seeing and counting the horses poo and splats, of course 😅.
We also met up with other children and had races up and down the hill, made flower soup, a picnic snack, park and played ball games. Below is a picture of us learning the life cycle of sunflowers and sequencing. You can imagine which part of all this that the children told their parents/siblings about (🐎 💩 ) 😅. All in a day's play as we say 🤪

A Fox cub enjoying a trip to our local museum... A day of wonder and Awe 🤩. This 1:1 session helped us to use 'spectacular' describing words like, gigantic, enormous and huge in exciting context. We also used lots of verbs and directional words navigating our journey on public transport.

Cheeky nandos after soft play 😋.
We talked about what traffic cones are for, whilst traveling on the bus along with I spy colour game. We independently asked for a menu, chose our own lunch and used the frozen yogurt machine. All after an active morning being timed on the soft play circuit. Not forgetting our baby chinos after buying new resources...back to setting to practice our putting skills on our own crazy golf course.

We never tire of nature, it is full with awe and wonder. 🌿🪈🌦💧🌳🌾🪹
:nests and wreaths made from weaving willow twigs, with a grass bed and willow buds as worms.
:Jumping in puddles and running free practicing our adjective words.
Using our imagination helps us later in life for telling and writing stories.
