VARSITY 2026 🏆 | FINAL DAY RECAP 🔥

Day 5 brought the 2026 Varsity Series to an incredible finish, with Volleyball, Tennis, Mixed Hockey and Basketball rounding off an unforgettable 5 days of competition across the city.

A bumper crowd of over 950 students packed into QEII, creating an electric atmosphere for the final fixtures of the series.

Both universities also showcased outstanding performances from their cheer teams, adding huge energy and delivering a brilliant send‑off to the final day.

A massive congratulations to the , who have been crowned Varsity 2026 Champions, finishing the series with an overall score of 34–5. 🏆🎉

Thank you to every athlete, coach, volunteer, official and supporter who made this Varsity Series such a special celebration of student sport in Leicester.

We can’t wait to do it all again next year! ❤️🙌

Super Saturday delivered an unforgettable fourth day of the Varsity Series - incredible crowds, back‑to‑back fixtures, and unbelievable sunshine that put a fantastic shine on the entire day. ☀️🔥

A special moment from today:
💥 DMU Women’s Rugby secured their first-ever Varsity victory over the University of Leicester Women’s Rugby Team - a historic achievement and a standout highlight of the 2026 series. 👏

With four action‑packed days complete, we now head into the 5th and final day of Varsity 2026. The last fixtures of the series will see:

🏐 Volleyball (1st Men & 1st Women)
🎾 Tennis (Men’s & Women’s)
🏑 Mixed Hockey
🏀 Basketball (1st Women & 1st Men)

One final day. One final push. Let’s finish the series in style.

VARSITY 2026 🏆 | DAY 3️⃣

Day 3 delivered another full round of action, with competitions across Equestrian, Hockey, Archery, Cheerleading and Volleyball bringing big performances and strong support throughout the day.

Leicester secured wins in Equestrian (1st & 2nd Mixed), Hockey (Women’s & Men’s), Archery, Cheerleading, and both Volleyball fixtures rounding off a packed Friday of fixtures. 💥

Now all eyes turn to SUPER SATURDAY, featuring one of the biggest line‑ups of the entire series - Badminton, Lacrosse, Rugby Union, Football, Karting and Basketball all taking centre stage 👀🔥

Leicester took home the double in Netball, rounding off an exciting second day of the series. 🏆🏆
