Yesterday is always a special day in the calendar, as we began the start of a new academic year with the arrival of The FIFA Master 27th Edition class for their Induction sessions with us here at the International Centre for Sports History and Culture, De Montfort University Leicester (DMU).

The class this year has travelled from around the world and includes students from Tunisia, USA, Jordan, Brazil, France, Germany, Australia, Morocco, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Canada, Japan, Portugal, Maldives, India, Argentina and Italy. It is great to welcome everyone to Leicester!

'FIFA Master awards success continues with new No.1 in Europe and No.2 in the world rankings'.

The FIFA Master has maintained its position as the leading postgraduate sport management course in Europe with a record-breaking 14th No.1 award in the new 2026 SportBusiness rankings. In addition, the course has been named as No.2 in the world.

The course is organised by the CIES - International Centre for Sports Studies, Switzerland, in cooperation with the International Centre for Sports History and Culture here at De Montfort University Leicester (DMU), SDA Bocconi School of Management in Italy and the Sports Law Faculty at the Université de Neuchâtel in Switzerland.

"The humanities module opened my mind to how sport relates to society and politics".

New The FIFA Master 'Where are they now?' interview with 2023 graduate, Tuale Charles Ajuyah.

Tuale, who began his course studies here at the International Centre for Sports History and Culture, De Montfort University Leicester (DMU), is now Media Counsel, International Olympic Committee Olympics.
