The Vaughan Exhibition visitors will head to the Attenborough Arts Centre on Friday August 14 at 1pm. We will visit ‘Jason and the Adventure of 254’, a major solo exhibition by Jason Wilsher-Mills. We will meet in the cafeteria.

But opposition councillors say they are concerned about the museum's long term-future.

Leicester's mayor Sir Peter Soulsby said he was pleased with the £16.8m Roman Jewry Wall museum's numbers given the "challenges" facing the tourism industry.

Our Local History courses take you on a journey through the heritage, people and places that have shaped our city across the centuries.

This autumn term, explore:
🧵 Textile history of Roman Leicester (Wednesdays, 1-3pm, for 3 weeks starting 4 November) 👉 Uncover the origins and evolution of Leicester’s textile industry and its impact on local communities

📖 Leicester Fairy Tales, Folklore and Culture (Wednesdays, 6-8pm, for 5 weeks starting 4 Nov)👉 Dive into local myths, legends and urban stories that have been passed through generations

🎄 Christmas in Leicester Through the Ages (Thursday 17 Dec, 1-3pm)
👉 Discover how festive traditions in the city have changed over time
