Did you know❓

One litre of milk is as damaging to a river as 40 litres of raw sewage.

Organic matter such as milk, food, dirty water, silage effluent and slurry is highly polluting to watercourses. The bacteria that is already present in water uses organic matter to multiply and at the same time it removes oxygen from the water.

Without oxygen the fish and small insect life in watercourses cannot survive.

Substances such as oil, pesticides, sheep dip, fertilisers and silt can all pollute watercourses

If you allow any polluting matter to enter surface waters or groundwater, you will be committing a pollution offence.

Our 1/2 day 1st Responder Spill Awareness and Response Course is designed to familiarise your employees with the possible risks involved when dealing with hazardous and non-hazardous liquid spills, how to prevent these spills and increases their spill awareness.

This course is fully accredited by the British Safety Industry Federation and delegates receive a 3-year certification on completion of the course. This course can be presented at your site or at one of our open-days at our academy near Leicester to groups of up to 12 delegates per session.
