We have got Gruffalo fever this week…. We managed to get our hands on the new gruffalo granny book and all really enjoyed reading it this morning 📚🥰

Poplar tots childcare are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, passionate childcare practitioner to work within our setting with children aged 2-4 years.

This will be a full time position working between the hours of 7.30am-5.30, Monday to Friday, shift patterns to be discussed.
Hours will be between 35-40 per week.

We are looking for someone to offer the following …..
* You must have a warm smiling face that makes every child feel special 😊
* You will preferably have a little bit of quirkiness. If a child requests that you be a captain of a pirate ship, you will be the best pirate captain you can be 🏴‍☠️
* The ability to sing in tune is not necessary, however the ability to sing out of tune in front of a crowd is essential. 🎤
* You must be able to distribute warm hugs as required. 🤗
* Must be comfortable entering public places on the way home from work, with unknown substances on your clothing. 😳
* Pretending to eat playdough creations realistically is required, and that of drinking numerous cups of pretend tea. ☕️
* You must have the ability to read a ten page fairytale, upside down, with at least 4 interruptions per page. 📚
* You must be prepared to have lots of fun in the workplace. Laughter is something you can expect to engage in for a large part of your working day. 😂
* Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to many young children and their families. There is simply no other job quite like this one 🥰

All applicants will be required to complete a DBS and provide us with 2 references.
Experience is required and applicants must hold a level 3 qualification in childcare or working towards this.

We went for a little walk this morning to go and say hello to the sheep and chickens 👋🏼 we saw lots of birds and butterflies on the way 🐦🦋
We tried to look out for the bunnies 🐰 but they were feeling a bit shy.
How lucky are we to have this at the bottom

💕We have some very special news to share!💕

Our Deputy, Chloe is expecting her first baby, due in November! 👶🍼

This makes it even more special as it will be our first Poplar Tots staff baby! 💗

Huge Congratulations to Chloe and Oscar! We are so happy for you and can’t wait for all the baby cuddles! 🥰✨

We had a little visitor this morning 🐦 he found his way into our reception and couldn’t get back out! We were able to catch him and whilst he was meeting the children, he decided to have a quick look around our nursery 👀.
We then took him back outside so he could find his way home 🌳

What a fantastic two weeks we’ve had at nursery 🤩

Our new children and families have been
Amazing and we have loved every second of being back 🥰 even with a rather impressive heatwave to add to the mix whilst finding our feet 🥵

We’re looking forward to next week and hoping for slightly cooler temperatures so we can make the most of our outdoor area ☀️

Despite the miserable weather outside ☔️ , we have had such a lovely day 😊

It was fantastic to meet so many new families and their little ones 🥰

A huge thank you to everyone that came along 🤩it was lovely to show you around our beautiful nursery and we hope you love it as much as we do 🌈

We are doing it all again tomorrow from
11-1! ⏰ No appointment needed, so feel free to drop in, meet our team, have a look around, and find out more 🌟
