What a fantastic celebration of culture, creativity and community!
Our students embraced the opportunity to explore and share traditions, talents and experiences from around the world through a wide range of engaging activities and performances.

Highlights from the day included:
🎤 A student variety show in the Atrium
👗 A student catwalk showcase and surprise staff flashmob in the Tennis Centre
🏹 Wheelchair sports and archery activities
🌊 Humanities projects exploring river building
🪔 Friendship bracelet and lantern making workshops
💃 Hip Hop Dance and Musical Theatre workshops
🎶 Energetic Bhangra-Fit sessions in the Sports Hall
🕺 Traditional Garba folk dancing in the Main Hall
🗺️ Identity map making with our MFL department

The day was a wonderful reflection of the diversity, talents and experiences that make our school community so special. It was inspiring to see students learning from one another, celebrating different cultures and taking part with such enthusiasm.

A huge thank you to all the staff and students who helped organise and participate in this memorable event. Together, we created a day full of learning, appreciation and celebration.

☀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Sports Day 2026 at Saffron Athletics Stadium 🏅

Despite the challenging heat, our students at Sir Jonathan North Girls' College showed incredible resilience, determination, and team spirit during Sports Day at Saffron Athletics Stadium.

The high temperatures certainly made competing tough, but our students rose to the challenge, giving their all in every race, jump, and throw. We were so proud to see everyone supporting one another, staying positive, and demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship throughout the day.

A huge well done to all who took part and helped make the day such a success. Your effort, enthusiasm, and perseverance were truly inspiring!

🌟 A Warm Welcome to Our New Year 7s! 🌟

It’s been such a pleasure welcoming our new Year 7 students today for Transition Day! From the moment they arrived, they have shown enthusiasm, curiosity, and fantastic attitude as they explored their new school.

They’ve had a wonderful day getting to know their teachers, meeting new friends, and experiencing life here at SJNCC – we are so proud of how well they’ve settled in already.

We can’t wait to see them all again in August as they begin this exciting new chapter. Well done, Year 7! 👏✨

Students Shine in Literacy Showcase ✨📚

Twenty KS3 students proudly presented their work to families, the Principal and a Governor on 25th June. Many are new to the country and learning English, yet confidently shared PowerPoints they had written independently.

Their courage, creativity and progress truly impressed everyone 💙 Each student received a certificate and a well-deserved goodie bag.

A fantastic celebration of resilience, achievement and success 👏

We spent our last day in France at EuroDisney. Special memories made and lots of stories to tell.

The Silver Expedition was a great success, with all seven Sir Jonathan North students achieving excellent results.

We spent two nights and three days in the Peak District alongside 70 other students from across the Trust. It was a fantastic experience for everyone involved.

This marks the end of the expeditions for this school year. We hope that many more students will be inspired to sign up for the award in the future.
