A member got in touch with me this week. She was upset.

She’d had a rough morning, and on top of everything else going on, it had knocked her.

So we sat down and talked it through.

Here’s what I reminded her of.

She’s been training with us for six years.

Most of the time three sessions a week, every week — bar the odd holiday or bit of illness. Six years. Most people don’t stick at anything for six weeks.

The reality is, she’s juggling a lot right now.

Elderly parents. Work. All the things that pull at you and don’t show up on a training plan.

And she’s still turning up.

In my eyes, that’s not something to feel bad about. That’s a massive win.

Most people go all out for a few weeks — full throttle, every session, no misses. Then life happens. Something goes wrong, the motivation dips, and they stop completely. All or nothing. And nothing usually wins.

The people who stay strong and capable into their 60s and 70s aren’t the ones who train flawlessly.

They’re the ones who keep showing up when it would be easier not to. Tired, stretched thin, distracted — but there.

That’s the whole thing. Always something beats all or nothing.

So if life’s got tricky and you’re not training the way you’d like to right now — keep showing up anyway.

It doesn’t have to be perfect. And if you’re still turning up when everything’s pulling you the other way, you should be proud of yourself.

That’s the hard part, and you’re doing it.

Consistency beats intensity, every day of the week.

And if you’ve fallen off completely and don’t know how to start again, come and have a chat.

Our free Health & Fitness Consultation is just a conversation — where you are, where you’d like to get to, and how to build something that fits your actual life.

If this is you, I want you to know — I see you. 👇

You’re in your 50s or 60s.

At your last check-up, the doctor said it. Gently, or maybe not so gently: you need to get more active. Move more. Lose some weight. Look after the years ahead.

And you meant to. You really did.

But here’s what I know.

I know the gym feels like it was built for other people.

Twenty-somethings who know what every machine does and never seem to wonder if anyone’s looking.

I know you’ve tried before. Maybe you signed up, went a few times, then quietly let it go.

That’s not failure… That was the wrong room.

And I know there’s a quiet worry underneath it all. About getting older. Stiffening up. Slowing down. About leaving it too late.

But here’s the bit that matters.

It’s not too late.

Not at 55. Not at 65. Not even close.

The people who get the most out of what we do are exactly like you. They just needed somewhere that wasn’t built for the twenty-somethings.

Small groups. A coach who knows your name and your knees. A plan for the body you have today.

You don’t need to be fit to start.

You don’t need to know what you’re doing.

You don’t need to do it alone.

You just need the right place — and the first step is a simple chat. No pressure, no pushy sales.

It’s not too late. It’s just time. 💙💪🏼

Meet Amar…

Three months ago, he decided it was time to make a change.

Not with a quick-fix diet.
Not with endless cardio.
Not by trying to be perfect.

Just by showing up consistently and following the plan.

The reality is, the people who get results are rarely the ones who do everything perfectly. They’re the ones who keep turning up, even when life gets busy.

In just 3 months, Amar has:

• Lost 7kg
• Reduced his body fat by 4%
• Built stronger habits around his training and nutrition

And perhaps most importantly, he’s proving to himself what consistency can achieve.

The funny thing about fitness is that most people overestimate what they can do in a week and underestimate what they can do in three months.

Amar is a great example of what happens when you stop starting over and start sticking with the process.

Brilliant work, Amar. We’re excited to see what the next 3 months bring.

Meet Karilee…

Two years ago, Karilee walked through our doors looking to improve her health and fitness in her 60s.

Like many people we work with, she wasn’t looking for a quick fix. She wanted to feel better, move better and take control of her health for the long term.

One of the biggest challenges she faced was severe asthma and a persistent cough. She relied on a steroid inhaler and knew something needed to change.

The reality is, the people who see lasting results are the ones who focus on consistent habits rather than chasing perfection.

Over the last two years, Karilee has done exactly that.

She showed up. She strength trained. She stayed consistent.

And the results speak for themselves:

• 15cm off her waist
• 9.3kg reduction in body fat mass
• 1kg of muscle gained
• Body fat percentage down 9.7%
• Visceral fat reduced by 6 levels

But the funny thing about transformations like this is that the numbers are only part of the story.

Karilee is stronger. Fitter. More capable.

And perhaps most importantly, she no longer uses the steroid inhaler she once relied on.

That’s what happens when you commit to looking after yourself week after week, month after month, year after year.

It’s never about one perfect workout. It’s about building strength, improving your health and giving yourself the best chance of staying active and independent as you get older.

Karilee has done exactly that, and we’re incredibly proud of her.

How many summers have you said “this is the year”? 🌞

No judgement — most people have a version of that on repeat. But here’s the thing worth sitting with for a second.

We’re just over a week into June.

Which means August is closer than it feels.

And by then, one of two things will be true.

You’ll either still be saying “I need to sort myself out, I need to do something about my weight and energy”…

Or you’ll already feel noticeably different.

Fitter.
Lighter.
Stronger.
More mobile.
Sleeping better.
More confident.
Actually enjoying your summer.

That’s what a focused few months can do.

Not perfection — just the right plan and a bit of consistency, with someone keeping you on track.

You don’t need to overhaul your whole life or train like an athlete.

You just need to start, properly, with support that fits you.

If you want to lose weight, feel stronger and enjoy your body again this summer — let’s start with a chat.

Free, no pressure.

The reality is…

Most people think the results happen in the gym.

They don’t.

The training is the stimulus. Sleep is where the body actually adapts.

I see it all the time. Someone starts strength training, they’re showing up consistently, they’re putting the effort in… but they’re sleeping five or six broken hours a night and wondering why they don’t feel better yet.

The funny thing about sleep is that it’s often treated like an optional extra.

It’s not.

If you’re over 40, sleep becomes even more important because life tends to throw more at you. Work stress. Family responsibilities. Hormonal changes. Recovery simply doesn’t happen as easily as it once did.

Here’s why sleep matters so much:

• It helps your body repair and build muscle after training

• It supports energy, mood and motivation the next day

• It helps regulate hunger, cravings and food choices

A member said to me last week, “I didn’t realise how much better I could feel just from sleeping properly.”

And that’s the point.

Most people are looking for a better workout, a better diet, a better supplement.

Often what they really need is better recovery.

The people who make the best long-term progress are the ones who get the basics right. They train consistently, they eat reasonably well, and they prioritise sleep.

Nothing flashy.

Just the things that actually work.

The 5:45am crew are a special bunch.

We asked them why they choose to train before most people have even had their first coffee.

The answers were simple: to see the morning community, start the day off right, and get it done before the day has a chance to get in the way.

The funny thing about early sessions isn’t the time on the clock. It’s the people. The conversations, the encouragement, and the feeling of knowing you’ve already done something positive for yourself before the day begins.

Give the video a watch and see what our early birds had to say.
