Along side our Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star topic ⭐ we began exploring clay through sensory play and investigation. The children were invited to discover this new texture using their senses while developing their fine motor skills and language. We explored how different tools could change the shape of the clay and encouraged the children to squash, roll, poke, pinch, and pat it. It was wonderful to see their creativity, curiosity, and confidence grow as they experimented with the clay and shared their ideas and experience with one another 🤩
Have a lovely weekend everyone 💚

What a fantastic day we had at our Preschool Sports Day! 🏁
The children had great fun taking part in activities such as beanbag throwing, goal scoring, the egg and spoon race, quoit balancing and more…. It was wonderful to see them all joining in, cheering each other on, learning new skills and enjoying themselves. We even managed to avoid the rain ☀️
To celebrate their efforts, every child received a special certificate 💚
Well done to all our children – you were brilliant 🏆

What a fantastic start we’ve had to our nursery rhyme topic!
This week, we focused on the much-loved “5 Little Ducks” 🦆 The children have enjoyed bringing the rhyme to life through lots of activities. We explored number recognition and counting as we sang along to the rhyme, helping the children build confidence with their early maths skills. We explored messy play and created our own ducks with playdough 🦆
The children also loved playing Hook a Duck, which provided lots of opportunities for turn-taking, hand-eye coordination and number recognition.
To make the week even more exciting, we had a very special visit from “Bounce Beyond” For many of the children, this was a new experience and everyone was very excited 🤩 They did a fantastic job - listening carefully to instructions, and bouncing on the trampolines to music.

Have a lovely weekend 💚

It’s been a busy week in Preschool! 🤩
We started the week by making some amazing playdough dragons, it’s lovely to see the children use their imagination. We also kept a very close eye on out butterflies as they were almost ready to be released 🦋 .
I’m sure you’ve all seen and heard about our exciting visit from Animals for Parties — the children (& adults) absolutely loved meeting all the different creatures!
On Thursday, we were finally able to release our butterflies, and we couldn’t believe how long they stayed around for us to get such a good look at them ☺️
To finish off a wonderful week, we joined in with the whole school’s Colour Run, which was lots of fun for everyone involved! 🎨
Have a wonderful and relaxing half term in the sun☀️

Today we had a fantastic visit from the Animals For Parties. The children, alongside Year 1, enjoyed an amazing hands-on experience meeting guinea pigs, a rabbit, snake, bearded dragon, cockroach, stick insect, tortoise, owl, and frog.
The children were incredibly brave and had the opportunity to choose whether they would like to gently stroke or hold the animals while learning lots of fascinating new facts. We were so proud of how calm, careful, and respectful they all were with the animals.
A very special thank you to our wonderful fundraisers for making this exciting experience possible! 🦉 🐸 🐰

We’ve had a magical week exploring the world of castles, knights, princesses and dragons! 🏰🐉👑
The children loved learning about who lived in castles and discovering what knights would wear to protect the kingdom and fight off dragons. Along the way, we introduced lots of exciting new vocabulary and had some fantastic conversations together.
We painted colourful dragons and practiced our cutting and sticking skills.
The children worked brilliantly together, using both the large outdoor blocks and smaller indoor bricks to create their own magnificent castles and towering fortresses!
Despite the unpredictable weather, we still enjoyed plenty of outdoor play. We even took shelter together while the children experienced and learned about a hail storm — a very exciting experience! 🌧️❄️
Have a lovely weekend 💚

We have continued exploring our space topic this week and the children have created some fantastic alien pictures using lots of bright colours and different creative media 👽🎨 Some brilliant junk models were proudly taken home too!
Our caterpillars have also amazed us all by turning into cocoons — we can’t wait to see what happens next! 🐛🦋
Outdoors, the children have been thoroughly enjoying our new big loose parts area with crates, planks and logs, working together to build their very own balancing obstacle courses. It has been wonderful to see their creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills in action! ✨
We were especially proud of how they encouraged and supported one another along the course 🥰
Have a lovely weekend 💚

This week we have blasted off into into space 🚀 We’ve been learning all about the planets, discovering what astronauts do and wear, and shared lots of exciting facts together. Did you know that “Saturn has a ring around it!” 🤯 🪐 The children were especially fascinated watching the launch of Artimus II – there were lots of discussions about speed! 🚀
Story time took us on an adventure with “Aliens Love Underpants”, which quickly became a firm favourite 🤩 Inspired by this, the children then strengthened their fine motor skills by pe***ng “washing” onto the line – great fun and fantastic for developing those little hand muscles! 🧺
We’ve also been focusing on ‘continuing patterns’ and even created our own. It’s amazing to see the children thinking carefully, problem-solving, and feeling proud of their patterns 🔴🔵🔴🔵
And of course, we made the most of the fresh air and sunshine by taking our learning outside with lots of water play☀️
Have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend 💚
