I qualified as a secondary business studies teacher back in 2011, however, it was my time in a primary school during my practice that I enjoyed the most. This gave me the drive to become a full time primary teacher. I completed my last full time post in Christmas 2016 to become a supply teacher and to focus on my one to one tutoring. Since Jan 2017 I have been working with year 3,4,5 and 6 classes in an Ofsted outstanding school in Leicester City. Working on a supply basis allows me to keep up to date with the requirements of the curriculum and to keep in touch with new processes, systems and modern approaches to learning. My biggest strength is building relationships with students and giving them the confidence to have a go at new challenges. I'm a big believer in 'growth mindset' and I adopt a 'can do' approach to my teaching. I have an excellent understanding of students and their needs, this allows me to efficiently tailor the learning to their specific requirements.
