From all at our Secondary schools we'd like to wish you a safe and happy Easter break, we look forward to seeing you all on Monday 28th April 2025.

Last night, it was a pleasure to welcome back our former Year 13 students from Bradgate Sixth Form as they came to collect their well-earned certificates. It was truly heartwarming to catch up with them and hear about their journeys since leaving sixth form.

The evening was filled with smiles, laughter, and inspiring stories of life after school. From university experiences to new careers, gap years to exciting adventures, it was wonderful to see how each of them is making their mark in the world. Their confidence, ambition, and excitement about the future were truly inspiring, and it was clear that the foundation they built at Bradgate Sixth Form has helped them thrive in their next chapters.

It’s always a pleasure to see our past students succeed and continue to grow, and we look forward to hearing even more about their accomplishments in the future.

Thank you to everyone who came back to visit – it was fantastic to reconnect and celebrate the next steps in your journey.

Wednesday 15th January
It will be necessary to partially open again the school again tomorrow
Students in Years 7, 10 & 11, as well as Year 13 from Bradgate Sixth Form and Bradgate Inclusion Centre will come into school as normal and use the areas of the school that are heated.
Years 8 and 9 will work remotely from home.
Work will be uploaded to Satchel 1 with staff available online to support.
Year 12 can come into study though there will be no timetabled lessons tomorrow. Year 12 who choose to study at home are welcome to come into collect work and resources.
We are incredibly grateful for your understanding, thank you.

Regrettably, we will only be able to partially open the school on Tuesday 13th January.

Students in Years 10 & 11, Bradgate Sixth Form and Bradgate Inclusion Centre will be in school.

Students in Years 7, 8 & 9 will work remotely.

Bradgate Sixth Form is saddened to hear of the uncertainty facing some students at Amherst School regarding their Post 16 studies.

We can confirm that we have spaces available for September 2025 and we are still accepting applications.

Bradgate Sixth Form is an academic sixth form which has a strong focus on maximising individual student achievement, raising aspirations and ambition. We foster a culture of high academic standards, encouraging students to take ownership of their learning, excel in their studies and achieve outstanding results which will enable all students to access future opportunities in higher education.

As you will be aware many of the villages and towns in the surrounding areas have seen some
severe flooding in the past 24 hours. Whilst we have received reports this evening that some of
the floods are starting to recede and some of the roads are now more passable, there are still
many routes that aren't safe to travel on and some areas are now flooded that weren't
before. The situation is continuously changing.
As it stands currently Wreake Valley, Bradgate Sith Form and Bradgate Inclusion Centre plan to
open as usual tomorrow. We appreciate that there may be some delays for students and staff
getting into school first thing as they try to find an available route. We urge you to take extra
care in planning your route into school.
