Weekly professional performing arts training. No audition necessary, just lots of enthusiasm and pas All students participate in our productions.

Theatretrain Leicester takes place at Brockington College, Enderby, Leicester every Saturday morning from 10am to 1pm. Over the past ten years we’ve been part of some incredible productions both locally and nationally. Most recently, we celebrated our tenth birthday by presenting a special show, ‘Decadance’, at the wonderful Peepul Theatre in Leicester. We have also performed at The Sue Townsend Theatre and the Grand Hotel, both in Leicester. Our students have had the privilege of performing in some of London’s most prestigious theatres, including: The Royal Albert Hall, The O2, and Sadler's Wells.

🎥 Confidence doesn’t always look confident! 😂

Hi!!!

At Theatretrain, we’re all about helping children build confidence… but us adults have things we need to work on too! 😅

Mine? Speaking to camera. 🎬

It’s definitely getting easier, but I still get nervous, trip over my words and occasionally completely forget what I was going to say! 😂

The polished Theatretrain videos are on their way… but in the meantime, here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at what doesn’t always go to plan! 🤣

Because confidence isn’t about getting everything right first time. It’s about having a go, making mistakes and trying again. ❤️

✨ WEEK 3 COMPLETE! ✨

What a brilliant morning at Theatretrain Leicester! 🎭💃🎤 So much energy, creativity and fun from start to finish!

👏 A huge WELL DONE to everyone, and especially our ⭐ Stars of the Week! ⭐ Including our very special star from our Junior Company! 🥰

I also got to teach our Junior Company today and absolutely LOVED it! 💕 What a fantastic little group!

Already looking forward to next week! 🎭✨

Sometimes what a child needs most is somewhere they feel comfortable, included and able to be themselves. 💛

Shared rehearsals, laughter, challenges and achievements can help classmates become friends and give children a real sense of belonging.

Sometimes, finding your people makes all the difference. ✨

Being part of a Theatretrain class means learning how to work with lots of different people.

Children learn to listen, contribute, compromise, encourage one another and understand that everyone has an important part to play.

They might be working towards a song, dance or performance — but along the way they’re developing teamwork and communication skills they’ll use throughout their lives. 🎭

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

Finding your people matters.

For some children that happens on a football pitch.

For others it's a dance floor, a rehearsal room or standing in a circle with a group of people who are just as happy being silly, creative and imaginative as they are.

That's one of the wonderful things about theatre.

You don't have to be the loudest.

You don't have to be the best.

You don't even have to know anyone when you first walk through the door.

You just need somewhere you feel you can be yourself.

And sometimes a theatre group becomes much more than a weekly class.

Being a great performer isn’t just about being heard — it’s about knowing how to listen too. 👂🎭

In Theatretrain classes, children learn to listen to instructions, music and each other, developing concentration, communication and the ability to respond as part of a team.

Great performing skills — and pretty useful life skills too. 💙

What an excellent day at Theatretrain yesterday! 🎭✨

Our performance spaces were marked out and ready to go, we went over our expectations for the term, and there were lots of smiles, energy and enthusiasm throughout the morning! 💃🎭🎶

It was also fantastic to see so many of you arriving on time — thank you! 👏
