This has been a real highlight of the year for LHS. We are incredibly thankful for our caring and generous community. The response to our local food bank collection was overwhelming—thank you to all our families for your kindness. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas 🎄✨

A huge thank you to Mr Issa for visiting Year 4 and teaching the girls all about tooth structure and dental care 🦷✨. They used disclosing tablets to spot plaque 😁 and each received a new toothbrush to encourage great brushing habits 🪥. His talk was fascinating—and we finished with a fun quiz all about teeth! 🎉 Topic - Burps, Bottoms and Bile

Year 6 had an amazing enrichment experience with the during their Youth First Aid training. A huge thank you to Rupesh for helping us learn our DR ABCD skills with confidence. ❤️✨

Our EYFS girls enjoyed a calming and creative afternoon filled with wellbeing activities ✨. Some took part in peaceful yoga, practising gentle stretches and breathing techniques 🧘‍♀️, while others loved caring for our guinea pigs 🐹💛.

To launch our new Once Upon a Time topic, the girls decorated gingerbread men and created chocolate “magic wands,” watching solid chocolate melt into liquid as they worked 🍫✨

Year 3’s Express Event: – Through the Ages! 🪨✨ We stepped back in time with Stone Age bread-making, showcased our handmade ‘Prehistoric Pots’, and wrapped up with a collaborative family cave painting. A fantastic journey through history!

🍂✨ What a wonderful day at the Arboretum! Our EYFS children travelled by minibus for an exciting autumn adventure. They went on a scavenger hunt for colourful leaves, pinecones, and acorns 🌰🍁, took a moment to listen to the sounds of nature 🌳👂and enjoyed exploring flora, fauna and playing in the leaves.
We ended with parachute games, singing, laughter and lots of happy memories. 💛 Well done to all the children for their curiosity, kindness and brilliant behaviour — we’re so proud of you! 🌟🚌

Year 4 had an amazing time at Perlethorpe as part of their Topic! They met a rather intimidating Viking named Magnus! 🛡️. They explored a Viking house and got hands-on experience with replica cooking tools and armor 🍳⚔️. The children also enjoyed orienteering around the grounds. Despite Magnus’s fierce appearance, our resilient LHS girls showed incredible courage and curiosity, standing strong and confident throughout the day!

🔬✨ Science Club kicked off today with some amazing experiments! The girls explored invisible ink and got hands-on with a colorful Skittles diffusion activity 🌈🧪 Excited for a term full of curiosity and discovery! 💡

👩‍⚕️✨ Today, our EYFS children had some very special visitors – Nurses Lisa and Hannah from .healthcare Hospital!

They led a fun and interactive session all about the importance of thorough handwashing. 🧼👏 After showing the children the proper technique, everyone had the chance to put their skills to the test. Using a light box, the nurses revealed the spots that still “glowed” where germs were hiding – a fantastic way to see how well they’d washed!

The children loved this engaging activity and learned valuable tips to help keep their hands (and themselves!) healthy. 🌟💧

Year 5 had a brilliant visit to today as part of their topic, ‘Revolution’ 🕰️ Thanks to our membership, pupils enjoyed a fascinating Victorian Experience Day. We’re pleased to report they were on their very best behaviour — though perhaps the threat of Victorian-style punishments helped keep things in check! 🎩📚

Year 4 Islamic Art Final Project 🌙🎨
Relief sculpting with clay – a true test of patience and perseverance! Despite the heat and fast-drying clay, the girls stayed focused and brought their beautiful tile designs to life. Such an impressive effort for our project!
