Elm Pathway had a great time at Fun Valley yesterday focusing on their interaction and play skills.

Beavers class have been developing their independence and life skills this week learning to make beans on toast 😊

As part of Mental Health awareness week, Robins team prepared a Spa like experience for children. They also opened this up to people across the school. Children from Nurture, Willow and Cherry went to enjoy some relaxation (even staff members enjoyed the experience).

Treatments on offer:
Hand and back massages
Foot spa
Manicure (with water not real nail varnish)
Relaxation corner with cucumber to soothe eyes and relaxing music to listen to.
Infused water (cucumber, lime and orange)

For some children they stretched this experience by giving out pretend money for the children to 'pay' for their treatment once it was completed.

We can safely say it was a big hit with all the children (and adults!) who visited.

Some of Elm have been out and about in the community this week practicing their communication and social skills in a local shop. They had a great time!

We all had a great time at our Sibling Saturday Event - making the most of our outside spaces and the beautiful weather. Our next session is Saturday 20th June.

Next week is Mental Health Awareness Week (11th-15th May).

Mental Health Foundation have chosen Action as this year's theme because, while awareness is vital, real change comes when we take action too. Together, we’ve come a long way on mental health, but we can’t risk going backwards. There’s still much we can do to prevent people becoming unwell in the first place.

Action: for yourself, for someone else, for all of us

On Monday children and staff are invited to wear GREEN. Let's turn our school community green to show our support for one another
