Life Skills in action at Quorn Hall!
Our Year 8 pupils are spending the next two weeks completing jobs around school as part of their Life Skills sessions. As well as developing practical skills, they’ll be working towards earning a token to attend a special Tea Party at the end of half-term!
Pupils have chosen the jobs they would like to take on and have written their own job applications, including a cover letter, giving them the opportunity to practise skills that they will use in the future.
One pupil chose jobs supporting our Premises Team and had a lovely moment today when he confidently handed his application to the Premises Manager. He was also able to put his English learning into practice by reflecting on the difference between formal and informal language.
With our PSHE focus currently on active listening and communication, this was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to put all these skills into practice.
