As part of learning about People Who Help Us we had a lovely visit from the South Leicester Police team of PCSO’s Bhatti and Williams. The children enjoyed exploring the police car, operating the sirens and looking at the uniforms that the officers were wearing. 👮‍♂️ 🚔

🐝 Bee happy 😊
Anyone who thinks they are too small to make a difference has never met the honey bee… Our children fall into the same category capable of wonderful things.
We enjoyed a lovely morning modelling our own Bumble Bees and making Honeycomb prints as part of our World Bee Day activities.

Spring has sprung and we’ve been enjoying lots of outdoor learning on our allotment.
The children have been hands on planting a variety of seeds and flowers and more recently planted out some sunflowers and cabbages and we can’t wait to see how big they grow. 🌻🥬🧅🌺

March was an action-packed month! Our Mothers’ Day events were a huge hit, with parents and children enjoying activities together in the classroom. We also had a cosy Pyjama party for World Book Day and got our hands dirty planting seeds and flowers on our allotment plot. 👀 We can’t wait to see how things develop!

Thinking of all the amazing mummies out there - those in our Blossoms’ Family - and those out in the wider world. Although there are some wonderful Dads too, today we are honouring the mummies as in most households it is them who do the lion’s share of the household management; the cooking, the shopping, the laundry and the day-day decision making for their children…..and all without any special training or mother qualifications! That’s right, the biggest and most important job in the world is done on instinct and trial and error! So here’s to the mums…..the new mums, the ones who long to be mums, the single mums, the mother figures, the grandmas, the fur baby mums, the ones who miss their mums and mums who miss their babies - we see you, we celebrate you! You are all doing an AMAZING job and we send you SO MUCH love! # # #

On International Women’s Day we celebrate all the amazing women who are part of our Blossoms Family - past and present. We are a female founded and largely female powered business-including a few special ‘honorary women’ our selectively chosen men - something we are very proud of.
In a world that can be tough and challenging, it’s a blessing to have so many strong, uplifting, caring and kind women (and honorary women!) around us. To those of us who are raising daughters, let’s teach them to smash glass ceilings instead of fitting into glass slippers…..and to those raising sons let’s teach them to honour all the women in their lives with kindness and respect 💗
So here’s to strong, beautiful, resilient and amazing women everywhere….may we know them, may we be them and may we raise them 💗

Love, laughter and friendship filled the air as our children decorated biscuits, participated in craft activities and were ready to take on the role of Cupid mixing up their own love potions as part of our Valentine’s Day fun and celebrations.
Love is in the air not just on valentines Day but every day that we are blessed to be able to help shape the minds of the children that we care for💕
