For many parents, watching your child struggle with school can be heartbreaking.

Arthur found busy classrooms and noise overwhelming.

And over time, school became something he could no longer face.
His mum describes feeling unsure where to turn and worried about what the future might hold.

When Arthur visited one of our sites, something felt different straight away.
The setting was calm, the groups were small and the colleagues took time to build trust.

For the first time in a long while, school felt manageable.

Feeling safe is often the first step towards learning.
When children and young people feel understood, they can begin to believe in themselves again.

Many families know how difficult it can be to find a school that truly understands their child.

For Warick, several schools struggled to meet his needs. His family kept searching for somewhere he could feel safe, supported, and able to succeed.

That's when they found our Talocher School.

When people think about therapy, they often imagine sitting in a room talking.

But therapeutic support can look very different for every child and young person.

In this video, our colleague Carrie gives a glimpse into one of our therapy spaces and the environments designed to help young people feel comfortable, relaxed, and supported.

It's not just about the room itself.

It's about creating a place where children and young people feel safe enough to explore, communicate, learn new skills, and access support in a way that feels right for them.

As parents, you know your child better than anyone.

Arthur's family always felt there was something more going on beneath the surface, but when school became increasingly difficult, they found themselves watching their son struggle, withdraw, and lose confidence.
