Welcome to DMU Taekwondo, it doesn’t matter about your ability or experience come and give it a go:) Taekwon-do is a Martial art, originating from Korea.
The meaning of Taekwon-do is translated as the "Use of foot, Use of hand and Way of life". Learning Taekwon-do will enable you to develop as an individual through Pattern work, Sparring, breaking and philosophical teachings. Taekwon-do greatly improves your general health, strength, flexibility, control and your self confidence in everyday life. Our current club is led by Mr Mark Worsely, an exper
ienced second degree black belt. We are an eclectic mix of beginners, intermediates and regular black belts. As an inclusive club, we welcome all abilities to come join us for training. As a University sports club we compete in various competitions in the United Kingdom. These range from regional, national and world championships. With future plans of competing in Argentina. We are a friendly bunch of people who go on various socials including nights out, Go-Karting and Paintballing to name a few. Being a member of our club gives you the opportunity to meet new people and to have an incredible experience that will enrich your time at University. We train at the Watershed Building. Training times are:
Tuesday 20.30 - 22.00 pm Watershed Building
Wednesday: 16.00 - 17.30 PM Watershed Building
Sunday: 14.00 - 16.00PM Watershed Building
