🌻 Toddler Room – A Beautiful Start to Our New Book 🌻
We’ve had a lovely introduction to our new story, The Little Sunflower!
The children enjoyed a fun, hands-on sticky scavenger hunt, searching for flowers and bringing them back to nursery to cut and stick onto their hunt sheets 🌼✂️
Following this, the children explored our role-play flower shop, where they began developing their social skills, communication, and language through imaginative play 🌷
It’s been a fantastic start, and we’re excited to see how the children’s learning continues to grow! 🌱

Enhancing the outdoor area ready for spring 🌹🌸🌺🌷🌼
This morning the children have made their own musical egg shakers using a variety of natural materials.
They will use spoons to transfer materials such as rice, conkers , pasta, and small stones into plastic eggs or small containers. This helps develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Once the eggs are filled and sealed, the children can explore the different sounds each shaker makes. We will talk about loud and quiet sounds, and the children can experiment by shaking softly and then loudly to hear the difference.
This activity encourages:
• Exploration of sound
• Understanding loud and quiet
• Fine motor skills through spooning and transferring
• Sensory play with natural materials
• Creativity and music making 🐣🐣
