First day back fun! 🩷 It was such a joy laughing, smiling, and catching up with all the DC students today. These guys definitely had me laughing the hardest with their crazy holiday stories! ✨

Another wonderful day at the All England Finals! ✨

Our Inter Tap group took to the stage today in an incredibly competitive section and danced exceptionally well. Watching from the side of the stage, I couldn’t have been prouder—they were absolutely beaming from start to finish, and it showed in every moment of their performance. I am so, so proud of every single one of them.

A huge congratulations as well to Astrid, who represented us in the National Solo yesterday. She gave a fantastic performance and should be incredibly proud of herself. 🌟

Finally, a massive thank you to all of the parents at DC who made the journey down to Eastbourne to support the dancers and make this experience possible. Your commitment and support mean everything. It’s been an amazing few days and another huge step in helping our dancers grow stronger, more confident, and more experienced with every opportunity they have.

Our Character Group, “Pure Imagination,” qualified for the All England in the Junior category and then went on to compete last night in the Inter category, as some of the team are now in Year 7. They danced their hearts out! 💫

The youngest member of this team is just 8 years old, which makes what they’ve achieved even more special.

I couldn’t be prouder of this team’s professionalism, strength, commitment and resilience. They take every challenge in their stride, trust the process, support one another and give 100% every single time.

We are incredibly proud to offer high-quality dance training in an environment where every child is encouraged to be themselves, grow in confidence and genuinely enjoy what they do. It’s about creating a place where children feel happy, supported and inspired while reaching their full potential.

Standing in the wings watching them perform, I was honestly lost for words. Watching them give everything on that stage filled me with so much pride and joy. I feel incredibly lucky to do what I love every day and to teach such beautiful, talented children. Seeing them shine, not only as dancers but as kind, confident young people, is the greatest reward of all. ❤️

Before we head off for our summer break, I promised I’d share all of our marks of 90 and above from our latest exam session.

Of course, it’s not just about achieving 90 or higher. It’s about setting a goal and working hard to reach it. It’s about weeks of dedication, practising exercises over and over again, learning and remembering terminology, mastering directions, and building the confidence to perform in an exam setting.

Every single student who took an exam this session has achieved something to be proud of. Their commitment, perseverance, and hard work have been incredible to watch, and we couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of them. Tonight, we said goodbye to Erin as she moves on to East 15 Acting School.

Erin has danced with the DC teachers for the past 6 years and has been part of DC since the very beginning. Throughout that time, she has shown such loyalty, commitment, and hard work from such a young age, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything she has achieved.

Erin, we wish you all the luck in the world for the bright future ahead of you. Never be shy to come back and see us all — you’ll always be part of the DC family.

So much to smile about on our last Tuesday before summer ☀️ Our students looking gorgeous as ever, and some of our adult tappers looking fabulous in their DC tops 🫶🏽✨

We are so proud to share that Emma achieved an incredible 100/100 in her Grade 1 ISTD Modern exam!

Scoring full marks is exceptionally rare, and one of the reasons our results took a little longer to come back is because marks like this have to be triple-checked.

Emma has only been dancing for 15 months, and her hard work, dedication, and willingness to take on everything we ask of her week in, week out has been amazing to watch. She always gives 100%, trusts the process, and this result is so well deserved.

Emma, we are beyond proud of you and everything you have achieved — what a huge milestone! ✨👏

Later this week, I’ll also be sharing all of our other fantastic marks in the 90s, because we have quite a few and they absolutely deserve celebrating too!
