Our Wednesday Home Education sessions offer a wide variety of outdoor adventures and learning opportunities throughout the year. From paddlesports, bushcraft and climbing to conservation, team challenges and nature-based learning, no two terms are ever the same!

Thanks to all of your hard work, the middle field is looking fantastic. Every helping hand has made a real difference, and it's wonderful to see the space thriving for everyone to enjoy.

The adventure continues on 15th August, so don't miss Isaac and Amy's Invasive Non-Native Species session. Discover the plants and animals that don't naturally belong here, learn why they matter, and get hands-on helping to protect our local environment.

🌿 World Nature Conservation Day – 28 July 🌿

Nature gives us so much – fresh air, adventure, peaceful moments, incredible wildlife and places to create lasting memories. This World Nature Conservation Day, why not take a small step towards giving something back?

You don't have to change the world overnight. Small actions, when taken by lots of people, can make a big difference.

💚 Take on the One Bag Challenge – grab a bag and collect litter on your local walk.

🦋 Join a butterfly or bird count and discover the wildlife living right on your doorstep.

🌳 Learn to identify the trees in your local area. Every woodland has its own story to tell.

🌼 Plant some wildflowers in your garden, allotment or even a window box to help bees, butterflies and other pollinators thrive.

At Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre, connecting people with the natural world is at the heart of everything we do. From enjoying our waterways to appreciating local wildlife, we believe every small action helps create a more sustainable future.

This term, our Home Ed community has created some truly magical things, from fairy-inspired crafts to bushcraft skills that will continue to grow next term. We can't wait to spend a whole term exploring the outdoors together.

☀️ Home Ed Social – Finishing the Summer Term with a Splash! ☀️

With the temperatures soaring, we made the most of the shade this morning, heading into the trees for a relaxed bushcraft session. Nature had plenty to offer too, with beautiful flowers, berries, and tiny fairy-inspired creations appearing as imaginations ran wild.

We even collected some fresh blackberries and started making our own delicious blackberry syrup – a lovely seasonal treat!

This afternoon... it's all about getting wet, wet, wet! 💦

We're ending the summer socials the best way we know how – out on the paddleboards and kayaks, cooling off, laughing together, and making the most of the sunshine before we take a break for the holidays.

🏕️ Adventure update! 🏕️
Everyone is safely back at the centre after a fantastic hike, where they rejoined the rest of the crew.
Next up is an exciting afternoon of rifles, ATPF, and a sunset adventure! 🌅 There's plenty more fun, challenge, and teamwork still to come, and the smiles say it all.
What an unforgettable 24 hours they're having—new adventures, new skills, and memories to last a lifetime! 💙
