A little about me:

My teaching career began at my son's primary school 15 years ago. I volunteered by offering guided reading sessions and assisting small groups. This was alongside my paid work. I really enjoyed the voluntary work in school so I decided to take a different career path from nursing to teaching. I decided to hit it off by completing a foundation degree in Teaching Assistants, then a BA (Hons) degree and master's degree in Education, including PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). During/ after my studies, I have worked as a TA, 1:1 SEN assistant, Speech & Language assistant, school- led tutor, class teacher, and a subject leader in school. In 2024, I also had the privilege to teach in Tanzania- Africa.

To date, I now home educate students during school hours and I teach Maths and English up to GCSE level to students after school (evenings).

I don't only teach the National Curriculum to students of all ages, but I also teach a positive mindset and help to increase confidence because I believe that these are key ingredients for new learning and for success in adult life.

Hi, I have the following slots left availble for 'after school tutoring' from September 3rd, 2025:
I teach English and Maths from primary up to GCSE level (including higher tier).

Mondays: 4 slots. between 4pm- 9pm
Tuesdays: 1 slot. between 4pm-5.30pm
Wednesdays: 1 slot. 7.15pm- 8:15pm
Thursdays: 1 slot. 7.15pm- 8.15pm
Fridays: fully booked

I deliver 1 hour sessions either online via Zoom or in the comfort of student's homes (I travel to you) and I plan and deliver my own structured powerpoints for easy learning and 'sticky' knowledge.

On Wednesday 14th May at 7pm-8pm, I will be hosting a FREE Maths booster session for Year 11 students who will be sitting their 1st Maths paper the following day (15th May).

This will take place online via Zoom, and students who I've never taught before are also welcome to join.

I will send all my current students the link automatically via email, but if I've never taught your child before, then drop me a DM and I will send you the link. Students don't need to have their camera on if they feel shy .......so no pressure 🙂......and no cost.

Now have a few slots available for private tuition due to an expansion of teachers.
We provide homeschooling and after school private tuition on a 1:1 basis. This can be face to face in the comfort of student's homes or online via Zoom- whichever you prefer.

We offer Maths and English tuition from primary age up to GCSE level, and also from GCSE up to A-level.

Now taking bookings for academic year 2025/2026

New sessions will commence November 2025 (instead of september 2025).

From January 2026, I will be offering online sessions only via an app called Zoom.

Here is a glance at some of the perks for my online sessions.

* I will help/ guide my students throughout the week so students/parents can contact me via my work email any day of the week if in need of any help or questions regarding homework, school work in general or with the work I set.

* I will be able to send over resources/ additional work throughout the week to boost student's academic performance even more! Achieving even higher grades.

* Each lesson will be structured to a tea, and presented with professional powerpoints....consisting of starters, vocabulary slides, guided and independent activities, and finishing off with a plenary activity/ educational game.

* Cheaper rate per session due to no fuel cost for travelling.

* Students have the opportunity to create a small group of up to 3 students for each session (this means parents can split payment 3 ways to make it more affordable).

* For GCSE students only, I will help subsequent to their GCSE exams with CVs, applying for college courses and apprentiships, and writing covering letters for different purposes.

* Students have the opportunity (if they wish) to learn and meet with other students from around the world which could possibly open opportunities for them in future.

* Students will also learn computer skills with me, which is well needed for most future careers.

* I will provide the opportunity for 'anyone' to purchase well structured step by step Powerpoints based on a particular topic if students are struggling to grasp in school eg, fractions, algebra, pythagorus theorem etc.

* As a promotion for online, the 1st parent to book for online 2026, will recieve FREE professional sessions for their child for the first 2 months (fortnightly sessions).......

If your child is struggling to focus in a busy classroom and getting a little behind or losing their confidence, I can help by offering 1:1 face to face (or online) private teaching to help close their learning gaps and address any misconceptions.

I'm a qualified teacher with PGCE and masters degree in Education, and I'm DBS checked to advanced level.
I follow the National Curriculum and have taught every year group from year 1- year 11 either in school or privately.

I teach English and Maths up to GCSE Level (including higher tier) and have created my own successful PowerPoints to present easy, step by step lessons to ensure the knowledge sticks.

MASSIVE Well done to all of my GCSE students who have now finished their lessons with me today!

You guys have been absolutely fantastic and worked so hard throughout the year. Thank you so much for allowing me to teach you, and for listening lol (didn't think teens could actually do that lol)..,....but you guys have got this tomorrow. I predict Pythagoras and Pie Charts are going to be in this last 1- more AQA.

I can't wait to hear your good news. I'm so proud of ya! Thank you to parents for booking up with me and for making me feel really welcome in your homes. Thank you for my great reviews too.

Good luck to the rest of the children who are sitting their last Maths paper tomorrow.
