At Children 1st we provide exceptional childcare in beautiful nurseries across the Midlands and South Yorkshire.

Children 1st Buckinghams welcomes children from six weeks to five years in a warm, nurturing environment designed to help them grow with confidence and curiosity. Our caring team provides a calm and supportive space for learning and exploration, both indoors

and out. We work closely with families to build strong relationships and offer flexible childcare options, including 15 and 30 hours funded childcare for eligible families.

We're so proud to share that our nursery has successfully completed Eco-Schools and achieved a Merit Award!🏆

Over the past year, Libby and our Early Years children have worked hard to complete the Eco-Schools application. Through nursery reviews, eco-themed learning, and lots of hands-on activities, the children have been learning how small changes can make big differences to our planet🌱🐝🌏

Together, we've been making more sustainable changes to our nursery, exploring ways to reduce waste and care for nature and the environment.

The children have also created their own Eco-Promises, sharing ideas about how they can help look after our world💚

We’re incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and can’t wait to continue our eco journey together! 🌎💚🌱

Following some of our children's growing interest in cars and other vehicles, we decided to take our leaning outdoors and carry out our very own traffic survey!🚗🚛🏍

The children headed out to the car park, where they carefully watched the vehicles passing by and recorded what they could see. We talked about the different types of vehicles, compared how many of each we spotted and used our counting skills to keep track of our findings.📊

National Baby-Led Weaning Day 💛

Baby-led weaning gives children the opportunity to explore food independently, helping to build confidence, support fine motor development and encourage a positive relationship with food from the very start.

We know that every family's weaning journey is different. That's why we take time during the settling-in process to understand each family's preferences and chosen approach. Whether parents opt for baby-led weaning, purées or a combination of both, it's always led by parental choice, with our nursery teams there to provide support every step of the way.

Through close partnerships with families, we create positive mealtime experiences where children can safely explore a variety of tastes and textures at their own pace. As they do, they're developing independence, self-confidence and important skills that support their wider learning and development.
