We love the hustle and bustle of welcoming a new Reception intake, and there has already been so much happening in our classroom! 🌟

🥳Leavers Treat - Camel Creek🥳
Our lovely Year 6 all had an amazing time yesterday at Camel Creek for their leavers trip. A glorious day in the sun having fun on all the rides. We wish them a fond farewell and hope they cherish all the memories they have made at Leedstown School.

📚📖Book Sharing and Book Fair📖📚
Our children had a great time bringing into school and sharing their favourite book together last week as part of our 'Booknic' event.

We thank everyone for support at our first book fair too last week. We were able to use the commission earned to buy a fabulous selection of books for our school library. Here are a few of the titles below:

We also have taken part in the Kernow Learning Book Assembly celebrating the love of reading throughout our 21 schools.

🏅Praze Fair Winners🏅

Congratulations to all the children who won certificates for their art or handwriting work for the recent Praze Fair. We are all so proud of them. Children will go home with their certificates and work today. Here is a sneak peak at some of the winners...

🤩Leavers Play🤩
We all enjoyed watching the Leavers Play here last week. There were plenty of comic moments and great performances by them all. Well done to all on learning your lines, songs and actions.

🥗🍔 We are introducing a new process to help more eligible children receive free school meals without families needing to apply.

🍽️ Called the Free School Meals (FSM) Auto Award, it automatically checks whether some children are eligible for free school meals and enrols them if they qualify.

🐠Plymouth Aquarium Residential🐠
Our year 3's and year 4's had a wonderful time in Plymouth for their residential this year.

We began with a Survival Skills workshop and a day exploring at The Lost Gardens of Heligan before sleeping with the sharks at the aquarium. We also went on a boat trip with a marine focus the next day, before a delicious lunch at Pizza Express.

The children (and staff!) thoroughly enjoyed it all. We are all looking forward to more fun on the school residentials next year.

🍦£20 Challenge🍦
We are very proud of our Year 6's who have been raising money this week as part of the Kernow Learning £20 Challenge for Children’s Hospice Southwest.
Lots of ice creams and ice lollies were consuming on our field in the glorious weather raising over £200! Thank you to everyone who supported us.

🧳PGL Residential🧳
Our Year 5 and 6's had the best time ever at PGL on their residential! They took part in rock climbing, fencing, vertical climbing, archery, r***e shooting, canoeing and so much more. It was incredible to see the children having such a wonderful time and for them to experience activities and adventure away from home together with fellow students and staff.
