MUSIC COMPETITION FESTIVAL on Tuesday 23 June in the church hall at 2pm with our wonderful adjudicator Mrs Joan Zarneh. It is always a great pleasure to welcome Mrs Zarneh who is a great friend of the school and a superb musician. It's always a great afternoon of entertainment and uplift so please feel free to join us if you can.

Celebration Assembly

Children are working hard to prepare for next week's music competition! This will be held in the church hall next Tuesday at 2pm - families are most welcome to attend!

We heard two pieces this morning, both played by Lower Juniors.
Our first Lower Junior played Bluebird and our second plated Little Green Frog. They are sounding great!

A Lower Junior was excited to tell us that she has completed stage 6 at Arabic school. She told us how she attended a party to celebrate children's graduations.

We celebrated an Upper Junior who received her Silver Award for 100 merits - well done!

We also awarded another Upper Junior with her Gold Award for 150 merits - what an achievement!

Well done to this lovely young lady who returned from her Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music Prep Test in Wakefield. Conquering nerves and singing to an expert musician in an assessment is a real achievement. Be proud of yourself!

Sports Day 2026

The children had a fantastic time this afternoon competing in different sporting events as part of this year's Sports Day!

Well done to all of our children who took part and competed for the house teams! As well as those cheering on and making up chants and cheers from the side lines!

What an amazing afternoon and a wonderful victory for Salt!

Sports Day will be held tomorrow (Monday 15 June) - looks like decent weather so let's do this!!

⭐️ Celebration Assembly ⭐️

Over the past two weeks we have had sooo much to celebrate!

Last week, we had a wonderful performance from the Lower Juniors of a short musical called The Fisherman's Wife - a story about a magic fish who grants wishes, and a greedy wife who wishes for more and more and more! Lots of money, a huge house and even to be queen of the whole world! The children performed so confidently.

We had a huge three cheers for our volunteers and helpers who offer their time and generosity 'behind the scenes'. Thank you!

This week we celebrated a Reception who received a medal and trophy for his efforts at football. His favourite parts of football are scoring lots of goals and side tackles!

Last week our merit badge was awarded to a Lower Junior and this week the badges were given to two Upper Juniors - well done!

We have also had an abundance of Silver Awards for 100 merits! This is a huge achievement, well done everyone!

We are hoping to hold Sports Day on Monday if the weather is fine - please can children bring their PE kits on Monday just in case!

This afternoon's Summer Fair raised all fantastic £625 - thank you for a lovely afternoon and exceptional support 😀

We were delighted to welcome Richard from St Andrew's Church to assembly to share his thoughts on joy and how it helps power us through life. The children enjoyed the game we played together. He sends his best wishes to everyone in our school family and good vibes and prayers for those soon to leave us as they journey on to high school. He asked the children to say "hello" if they ever see him in and around Morley.

Whatever the weather, we are looking forward to our Summer Fair this Friday - lots of prizes, games and activities to enjoy!! We start at 1.30 and there's a real buzz of excitement in the place. Thank you for those who have donated lots of prizes and sent in money for tokens - you are stars 😍
