🍦 Sunshine, smiles and summer excitement… we love it!

There's always something special about the final term - a chance to celebrate achievements, create lasting memories and enjoy every moment before the summer holidays begin.

It's a time to reflect on just how far the children have come; their progress, growth, confidence and achievements over the year.

For us at Ignite, it's also a chance to reflect on what an incredible first full year it has been. We've had the privilege of working across 7 fantastic schools every week, delivering creative experiences to hundreds of young people and we couldn't be prouder or more excited to finish our first year on a high.

Thank you to the incredible teachers we work alongside and the awesome Heads who champion the Arts, our residency programmes and believe in the impactful work we do 🙌🙌

Hold tight for 2026-2027… it's about to get even busier 🤩

100 years of the legend that is David Attenborough 🙌🙌🙌
His work continues to inspire generations and all of us at Ignite… especially when we’re creating content focused on environmental education and protecting our planet 🌍💚 Happy birthday Sir 🥳

⚔️ What a day we had yesterday facilitating an action packed Anglo Saxon Day in one of our Wakefield schools 🙌

Jenny led a fantastic day of hands on learning where pupils fully stepped back in time. Not only is she a performing arts maverick, Jenny is also an incredibly talented artist who is always creating amazing sets, scenery and props for our schools.

Yesterday we made shields 🛡️, carved clay using runes and drew fierce Anglo Saxon warriors inspired by the period. We also sang songs to help us remember key facts we have learnt over the term.

To finish, we retold the powerful story of the Binding of Fenrir, exploring how Tiw came to be worshipped as a god of justice, honour and self sacrifice, giving up so much in order to do what was right. 🌟

What a spectacular morning we’ve had at Appleton Academy - our incredible pupils have been performing in their very own Appleton’s Got Talent!!
