Meet Dougie - Our School Dog

Dougie is a very special member of our school team. A friendly Goldendoodle with a gentle soul, he has been part of school life since he was just 12 weeks old. This is his second school posting, meaning he is a seasoned veteran who is completely at home in the classroom environment.

When he isn’t "on duty," Dougie lives with Mr. License and his two young children. This means he is naturally patient, well-socialised, and used to the hustle and bustle of family life—qualities he brings into school every single day.

What Our Pupils Say:
"I love to play with him, he is funny and makes me feel happy. I also get to feed him often" - Year 6 pupil

"Dougie makes me feel calm and happy, and he helps me focus" - Year 5 pupil

"Whenever I am angry, he helps to calm me down" - Year 6 pupil

Year 6 have been busy running their 'Grow a Fiver' project this week! They created stalls selling jewellery, fidget toys and ice-cream and also ran a Treasure Hunt and a football game. Altogether, their excellent entrepreneurial skills earned them a whopping £113.50 profit, which they are 'paying forward' to the next year's Y6 to help fund their residential.☺️☺️☺️

🌿 A HUGE thank you to our amazing PTA and volunteers!
Thank you to everyone who came along to the digging day last weekend. What an amazing team effort.

Together they built a dead hedge, dug over the pond, constructed a bug hotel and made a brilliant start on improving our OPAL provisions. The outdoor space is really taking shape.

We would also like to extend a massive thank you to everyone who has donated so far. Your generosity is making all of this possible. Work is underway! 🙌

We’re so grateful to be part of such an incredible community. 🐛🌱

Everyone had a very enjoyable time at the OPAL Parent's Morning. Thank you to everyone who came to play!

Many of you will recognise Daniel Coleman better known as Danny Go! from his YouTube series for young children. Recently one of our amazing parents interviewed Coleman about creating children’s content whilst supporting other families experiencing child bereavement loss in the midst of his own loss.

Year 5 have had lots of fun during Sense of Adventure Week! They have made maps, built dens, made parachutes for eggs, built an obstacle course and much more!

Year 1 had an incredible Sense of Adventure Week. From scavenger hunts to egg drops to making pirate treasure maps....we had an absolutely amazing time!

Year 3 also had lots of fun during Sense of Adventure Week!
They can definitely bust some moves - I just hope they didn't do the same to their eggs!

Year 4 had a great week during Sense of Adventure week.
They designed an obstacle course, built a parachute for an egg, drew maps using co-ordinates, built dens, tied knots, did a scavenger hunt, danced their way through Brazil and created their own sound track using Purple Mash.
